Re: A-W Meteor NF.14 WS788 Restoration Project

Great updates as usual, just catching up on things.

Interesting to see your success with Jenolite, used to help my dad apply that stuff to his old black FX4 taxi cab with absolutely nil effect it seemed!

Keep up the good work!

Re: IWM disposing of Avenger, Mi-24 and Kirby Cadet

With the importance of the Avenger (and American types in general) to the wartime FAA, it seems a bit mad for IWM to be moving it on. Also one of the key Allied types in general, flown by a future US President etc etc.

Avengers don't grow in trees.

I hope they have a rethink.

Nicely caught tip vapes.

She was a nice surprise on my commute home, impressive sight.

Re: A-W Meteor NF.14 WS788 Restoration Project

Another great update, somehow very satisfying to see all those covers being used as they were intended. As a "Suverner", I'm very pleased to see the correct spelling of Detona'er.... Seriously though, a cracking update. Regards painting the whole jet, will you switch over to spraying the silver when...

Not a complaint by any means, but it seems amazingly soon to be repainting the Ambassador. Seems like only yesterday she was just rolled out! Is the Dan-Air scheme staying?

Re: Sea Fury T.20 VX281

Yes, the usual Navy Wings Supporters Friday email carried a section about '281 confirming that she's an insurance write-off and that they are planning to sell the wreck to cover the purchase of a future replacement. The email mentions the possibility of a Seafire, but this is in no way confirmed.

Hurri IV KZ321: new paint, new owners

Just found this news on a Dutch site, former TFC Hurricane Mk.IV KZ321 OO-HUR has been sold to new owners in the Czech Republic and has been repainted in 1 Sqn colours as "BE150 JX-E", an aircraft flown by Czech hero Karel Kuttelwascher. https://www.scramble.nl/military-news/hurricane-bound-for-czec...
