Re: RIAT 2017 (Discussion & Participation Thread)

I haven't seen Sally B since my first airshow, Baldonnel Air Spectacular, in 1987! Delighted our paths will cross again after 30 years. That day she flew with an A10. I remember being amazed at how close in size the A10 looked next to a heavy bomber.

Re: Arrival days

Evening all. this may be a silly question but do we get any proper advance indication for arrivals? I have my trusty bearcat but no clue what to listen to/for. Staying in Kempsford again and usually walk the kids over to 27 on Weds Thurs in the hope of catching something fast directly overhead befor...

There's more to air displays than afterburners :-) many moaned there were too many last year.

A statement, not a complaint. Seriously, no Belgian F16? When did they cancel?

Re: Do I buy a super earlybird?

Yes. If there are a few tickets being bought then it can mean a fair chunk of money saved for you. We travel from abroad also and book super early birds every year. With the money saved on 4 adult x 3 day tickets we can do an extra night in a hotel before heading to campsite on the Wednesday.

Re: IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ. Kempsford Camping

AFAIK, this is purely for those people currently in the campsite who would normally drive down to the P&V tomorrow morning. The ground is very soft and I think Clive is trying to do whatever he can to reduce the number of vehicles moving about. I don't believe it will affect anyone arriving at ...

I've been keeping a watch on BBC and MetCheck, at the moment Saturday seems the best bet , so planning for Saturday I'm trying not to worry about it. All of us are a little edgy after last year's disappointment. As long as it's reasonably dry I'll be happy. I have got to worry until my ferry sails ...
