Crikey, I haven't posted on here for some time but seeing this has forced my hand...I think that it is a variant of the Shield Beetle (Hemiptera). From the photo I can see some of the characteristics, although not the classic shield beetle shape. http://www.royensoc.co.uk/insect_info/what/shield_bug...

Did you get any pics of the Sentinel? I saw it half pushed in to one of the hangars as I drove round to work on Tuesday.
Unfortunately the section of the driving community most likely to have or cause accidents are those who will continue to drive at excessive speeds no matter what the posted limit is nor the road conditions. Maybe they should rename it the Nissan Puke! ghastly shape. This rolled out of one of the Air Livery hangars at Norwich this morning. No prizes for photo quality as it was taken at full zoom on a Blackberry. Maybe someone will grab a better copy before it leaves. I have not seen an RAF 146 in the grey scheme before, does anybody have any further info? http:/...

Which leads me to the question of what happened to the artwork on the doors of Coltishall? The artwork is still there, rotting away. Someone posted some photo's recently on Flickr showing what the hangars one and two artwork is like now. Don't forget that there were plenty of other areas given the ...
