The buck stops here....On board CVN-75

On Sunday I was lucky enough to visit the Harry S Truman while moored up in the Solent. When I say lucky, I mean like really privileged ...... So here are some shots from the deck. There are others but I won't bore the crap out of you with all of them https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1934/44343016655_...

Mig-21 heaven, Campia Turzii - Romania

Hi all, With the airshow season well and truly over for the year, I thought I'd try and brighten up the dull days with a look back to the open day at Campia Turzii in July. After a few days travelling around Romania in search of W&R the Saturday saw Simmo and myself attending the airshow at Camp...

NH-90's @ RNAS Culdrose

As I had the day off, thought I'd pop over to Culdrose for the NH-90's.After thinking I was going to be out of luck as only 319 was parked outside, the other two arrived from the south, presumably from a ship. Annoyingly I was around by 25 when they arrived on 30 .Managed to get a brief blast of sun...

Kleine Brogel COMAO Oct 2000 TF-104 det. -very large post

Hi all, It's been a fair while since I posted anything, so thought I'd give this a go . Just over 15 years a go now , I was one of a hand full of Brits that made the trip across to a very early KB spotters day . There were only a couple of hundred or so people on base , mostly dutch ! The day was or...

Hi John, Good to meet you last Thursday . Superb punctuality on Friday ,as you guys came around the headland exactly the time you said you would ! Here's a few. I didn't quite have the height at my position to get the shot I was hoping for with more of the coast in shot . See you all later in the ye...

771sqn anniversary flypast

771sqn celebrated it's 76 anniversary today by putting up 6 Seakings on a coastal tour . Unfortunately the duty cab got called away on a shout . I popped out of work for an hour and heade for the north cliffs. The formation came right overhead but the backdrop makes up for it . Cheers, Mark http://i...

Bierset - The last Mirage Airshow - Sep 1993

Hi All, Some scans from a rather wet and blustery day at Bierset in September 1993. Thankfully the sun made an appearance every so often. A day of firsts and lasts - my first Greek F-4's and although I've been lucky enough to photograph many since, these were the only ones I ever saw in the Aegean b...

Just Phantoms ..... Konya, Turkey June '14 - pic heavy !

Hi all, Last month I was fortunate enough to spend a couple of days on the Turkish air force base at Konya during the annual Anatolian Eagle exercise. Still trawling through the several thousand or so shots but thought I'd put a few (ok, lots) F-4's up in a post of their own. 11 Phantoms deployed fo...

A few from St Mawgan , March 1988

With nothing better to do this evening, I thought I'd bore you all with a few scans taken at St Mawgan in March 1988. The novelty of being able to get to St Mawgan just after passing my driving test resulted in numerous visits ! Just a few for now......... Cheers, Mark https://farm8.staticflickr.com...
