Re: Google maps visits RIAT

Still a really impressive view of the show from the satellite view. Always like the top down views of riat, even the ones from the heli. Gives you a real scale of the size of the show

Re: Google maps visits RIAT

Well you got me looking ... I thought I was onto something, but turns out I have just randomly found a private jet lol. Just to the South East of Brize is a village called Aston. In one of the fields just below it you'll see a white business jet

Re: Malta IAS - 27th/28th September 2025

Thank you both for the info. I'll keep a look out to see if the display location changes, looks to be roughly where the aquarium is. I'll probably try and go one day to the static and then maybe stay near there seeing takeoffs etc and then spend the other day on the beach for the show. It looks like...

Re: Malta IAS - 27th/28th September 2025

I am looking at going to this later on in the year. Randomly my girlfriend suggested going to Malta on a holiday so I have managed to swing it to go in September around the 28-29th ... genius I know. Has anyone been before and have any tips or info regarding the show? Never been and not really seen ...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 Wishlist:

Haven't the Swiss already put out a statement that in effect ruled out any overseas (you know what I mean) participation at shows this year? Best you might hope for is a VIP flight bringing in observers like in 2023 with the Falcon 900. It must be just way less not entirely stopping international p...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 Wishlist:

Just had a little read and it is saying that the Spanish harriers will continue until 2030 at the earliest. So hopefully we can get them back a few more times. Although on borrowed time, it's great to get harriers and tornados still at the show. So again for this year I'd love harriers back and as m...

Won't be a surprise to anyone, but on the most recent email it states the announcements start next month ... with some 'exiting additions' for this year ... on a cold Jan morning it is wetting the appetite! looking forward to next month for the start of the countdown

So good to see another 'classic' fighter being restored. Didn't think an F2 would be on the cards for that but I am not complaining!

SUN 'n FUN 2025

After a successful trip last year, now can't stop looking at the shows over in the states to see if anything jumps out.

I have just seen that a MIG-21 will be attending Sun 'n Fun this year ...

As we won't get any over here in the future it is tempting

Re: China’s New Aircraft

Good to know! I had read the main difference into 6th gen was the whole can be manned/can be flown remotely.

Will be interesting to see what Countries come up with, could be some pretty mad designs!

Re: China’s New Aircraft

Any substance to these being 6th gen? I can't see how we can 100% know as yet.

I was more thinking the two fighters could be sort of technology demonstrators? But who knows.

Pretty cool though, can't complain at more weird and wacky types in the air.

No way ! lol that is impressive

I tried playing it a few times on my xbox series X but it was riddled with problems. I will probably go back to it over the holidays and hope it works better!

Czech ALCA demo is planned to be back in 2025, and for the avoidance of doubt back means it will be displaying again. If it comes to RIAT is of course a totally different matter. Unless things have changed in the past 3 weeks, the Czechs aren't planning on providing an ALCA flying display (single o...

Yeah Miramar was interesting to get in! To be fair once I got into the alien line and they saw my British passport they were fine lol. Had a nice chat in the end and I didn't risk taking off that awful lanyard just incase ! The show was great, I'm sure Yuma will be similar ... a great spectacle Enjoy!
