Re: Frelon aerobatics
Whenever I've seen more modern Sukhoi or Mig demos on YouTube, they seem to have an unlimited AOA. Some of the maneuvers are mental !

Re: RIAT 2025
Thanks Peter. Looking forward to seeing what you and the team have in store this year! If the last few years are anything to go by ... the show is in a great place. Great to hear the plans for the 40th, could be very special if plans come to be

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 Wishlist:
Id love to see a line up of 3 F35s side by side. An F35A, F35B and F35C together. I know the US Navy? has the F3C demo but I don't see them bringing it to display. Caper has a pitchfork at the ready! Doubt we’ll see the F-35C as I believe its display is primarily for recruitment purposes. One can h...

Yep, that Orion is also top top drawer! A dying breed but one of my favourite aircraft for some reason. Always liked them since going to Riat as a youngster

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 Wishlist:
Just giving a little thought to the fact its 40 years this year since the Tattoo moved to Fairford, and although a big show only 11 nations were on show that year, albeit with some stuff you'd sell your mother to see these days - SR-71, Italian C-47, two Jetstars, CC-132, a heap of MoD ripples and ...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 Wishlist:
Might not be out of the realms of possibility. I didn't have any reason to think that the Saudis would bring the F-15SA last year. Would love a Saudi Tonka

Re: RIAT 2025
Also their hornet demo does one of my favourite maneuvers, the sort of 'loaded' slow role. Almost rotates around the nose of the aircraft it that makes sense!
Also nice additions to the static lineup

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 Wishlist:
As Caper mentioned in the themed photo thread - a Georgian Su-25 Frogfoot. That’s gone up in my wants for this years show big time. I know a lot of people have said it can’t attend due to (please fill in the reason folks, I cannot remember, something to do with its not designed to fly in western sk...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 Wishlist:
Seeing as the first update is next Thursday, what do you reckon will get the ball rolling? Something linked to the theme? Will it be one aircraft to start the flying additions or a couple of statics? Guess we will wait and see. I’m going for something plain and simple like a Finnish NH90 in the fly...

Re: USA - Washington DC Collision
The Potomac acts like the Thames does through London - a corridor for helicopters to use through the city. In this instance the ADSB track shows the Blackhawk coming from the Lincoln memorial and down the Washington Channel before entering the Potomac just west of the hangars that house Marine One ...

Re: RIAT 2025
Hmm there's one country on the invited list that I feel could cause an issue if they attended, although it's very doubtful they would attend this year. I'm not saying which nation though to avoid politics! Agreed, but its fairly normal for the French to turn up! At least the British haven't been in...

Re: USA - Washington DC Collision
Terrible news to wake up to. No speculation or anything on my part, just don't understand why a heli would be flying in the direct approach to a main airport. I'm sure all answers will come out but not a nice one. RIP to all that sadly passed in that incident.

Re: Best display in each category
Can't believe so many people voting for Soloturk after that utter borefest at RIAT last year? Rumour has it that was only the first part of the display, as it was only allocated around 10 minutes or so and wanted about 35 minutes!!!! As much as I love F-16s to bits, the same jet tootling around for...

Re: Patrulla Àguila 40 anniversary show
My understanding is the Saturday would be an open door on base (including static display and rehearsal displays) and then the main flying display over the beach on Sunday. That said, that was briefed before Christmas so things may have changed. Interesting, thanks for the info. Might be one to keep...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 Wishlist:
Not the most out there of 'wishes' but .... It would be nice to get both the French and Italian display teams back. Seems like I haven't really seen them that much over the last 5-6 years. (I know to cancelled shows doesn't help) but they are both very good and would be a welcome return.
