Currently stuck into Hitler's last day: Minute by minute. Very interesting compiliation of accounts from all over the world in the days leading up to Hitler's death.

Re: Flying Legends 2021 - 10th & 11th July at Sywell (Merged)

Good news indeed if it does actually happen? If Duxford do decide to hi-jack the weekend I think the actual line up will be the clincher for me with Duxford getting the extra points simply for its location and tradition. Still, at least it doesn't clash with RIAT (if even that goes ahead) Only time...

I've heard there's a rumour floating around that the Landor scheme 747 may be going to Duxford for preservation.....

Can't see it myself, but it will be an interesting wait and see on that one.
Can't see that happening where would they put it?

Not great viewing potential from what i remember of the area around Dunsfold. I'd imagine trying to get a view of it coming in could be quite tricky.

Re: Battle of Britain Airshow 2020 - Cancelled

Has anyone who had a ticket for this event heard anything regarding a refund? I selected the option that I would be interested in converting the money into IWM membership, but I don't appear to have had any response? I can obviously give IWM a call, but was interested to hear of others' experience....

Gutted is an understatement but it kind of felt inevitable after the restrictions of this week, now to try and see if i can get a refund from my hotel that could be a challenge.

Star Tracked sky

My first night out with my new star tracker and luckily some reasonably clear sky. Really amazed at the detail i can get out of the sky with just a single exposure of 60 seconds, even getting the Milky Way making an appearance as the night drew on before i called it a night. Not perfect but not to b...
