Re: Just something I saw in Lusaka...
Did that land using runway 10 and then turn off to backtrack to the air force hangers? Any sign of the Harbin Z-9 helo's or the K-8 Karakorum's? Was the HS748 still there? They were all there in addition to the MA60s, Do28, Harbin Y-12, Mi-17, Bell 205 which were all active while I was there. I thi...

Re: Types flown in
Here is a typical list of which there aren't a huge number of types but I tend to fly the same types a lot. I'm 'lucky' enough to fly almost each week to various places having flown commercially 110 times this year so far and I have room for some more yet before year end. Airbus A300 European Air Tr...

Re: What have YOU flown on this year..?
Great to see some traditional threads still survive. For the first time in many years I can actually say I have flown on no interesting types at all in 2015. so I'm jealous of some on the thread already. However what I did fly was more than boring and monotonous to say the least. Don't believe me se...

I have listed my 2013 flights by operator, aircraft type (not variant) and number of sectors flown. Nothing romantic about the below listing I assure you. Re: New Saudi Flynas Airbourne in the Sun
I was delivering a course in Riyadh to the NAS management team this week and happily showed them the shots of their next delivery coming out of the paintshop. They were surprised by the interest in their aircraft in the UK and speed that pictures get put on the net. Just shows that you never know wh...

That is not what riatfuels said, you can meet them, or their boss at least, at the RJAF tent by their C130, they spend a quite a bit of time there.

Re: Official RIAT Statement – November 2013
If I'm reading that statement right, their thinking is that they need to make sure it's commercially viable... in other words they need to run it as a business. Now any marketing expert will point to the need for businesses to identify and focus on a Unique Selling Pont (USP) in order to differenti...

Re: Dubai Air Show 2013 - 18-21 November
The problem with Dubai is you never know what you will get and even then an aircraft on the list will only show for a day or so on static etc. That said, from what I am told, there will be some interesting hardware on show: Boeing are sending F/A-18E Super Hornet, P-8A Poseidon, CH-47F Chinook, AH-6...

Nice to see Mr Christian from the fuels team with the Rafale, he is pretty ill in hospital at the moment with meningo-encephalitis and we are all keeping our fingers crossed for a full recovery.

Re: RIAT Engineering Team
Thanks for pictures, being Red Leader (the real leader, not the display team one) meant that I got in a few. The shot of me in the tiger suit brought back some memories. Also all I can say is that Leonard and I are quite close.... The team appreciate these pictures especially the candid ones of us a...

Nice one, I was the guy marshaling the Red Bull silver thingy. The Red Bull team were great and I enjoyed my tea and scones in vintage village each morning.

I hope everyone had a good show regardless of the already documented difficulties. Many of the Engineering Team had a busy show and couldn't take as many photos as we would like; I hope we didn't get in the way of too many good shots while marshalling in the jets etc. Before you delete the ones we s...

It's not on the list so you can't vote for it... But what I'm saying is if its still the so called massive crowd puller that the die hards think it is the nit would've been mentioned already as to why not on the list? Perhaps it's because most of the people viewing this forum are enthusiasts who kn...

It has been an absolute age since I posted pictures on the forum so here are some pics of my latest trip down South.... just like before, no sharpening, cropping etc and it's a point and shoot affair!
