Re: RIAT 2024 - discuss most things thread
According to stagger in the La Ferté-Alais thread, the French Navy have supposedly officially confirmed they'll not be supporting any airshows domestic or overseas (they're not even attending NTM). That sucks. (I also should be a bit more cautious posting this info here too as I know this is how Ch...

Re: Antidotum Air Show Leszno 2024 (21-22.06.24)
I still dont understand why the Polish Air Force is so reluctant to showcase their sovet-era aircraft at airshows, especially considering that they will be retired soon. If last year’s Radom airshow is anything to go by, they are sending a very clear message to Russia, regarding both aircraft and m...

Re: Interesting Internet
Or they could just buy SH-60s like everyone else, or NH90 NFHs for commonality with their transport fleet. The costs of putting a type that has been out of production for 5+ years back into production for just a handful of orders would surely make the Wildcat an unviable proposition. Especially as t...

What could possibly go wrong? 🤷🏼♂️ Well at least he's not going for rocket power I guess, light touch paper and retreat. And the glider flies well in Germany. The glider was grounded around a decade ago due to structural concerns. It is occasionally taken to events for static display (as at Melun ...

This is almost certainly the final year for the Danish F-16 demo so I guess we should be grateful for it, whatever colour it’s painted.

I’m looking forward to receiving my copy. Just be aware that shipping from the US is very expensive nowadays, and pretty much doubles the cover price of the book.

Re: Old Buckenham Airshow - 27th & 28th July 2024
Having spent 10 minutes researching online the proposed provisions of the legislation, it would appear that this whole thing is nothing more than a gross over-reaction by a group of well-meaning but ultimately uninformed amateurs organising the event. The proposed legislation is still at the consult...

Re: Old Buckenham Airshow - 27th & 28th July 2024
A lot of families attend Old Buck, with chairs, picnics, blankets, etc. This will certainly cause issues with their main target audience, who are certainly not photographers with large camera bags.
