Video recording lengths

My wife has asked me to video something with a length of 60 minutes. The equipment I have are iPad or my camera (canon 7D) with 32GB cards. I can foresee a problem with the length of video wondered if there are any tips or ideas to do it in one go. The quality of video doesn’t have to be great so ma...

You took care of my biggest piece of advice: get an enclosure. it's useful because you'll be on the crowdline which is nice for the taxy shots, but also because you'll have at least a chance you'll find a place to shelter from the sun. Thanks a lot, mate. I have got the spotter package something li...

Desktop background photos

This is vaguely aviation related as I use aircraft photos as my desktop background. Yesterday for no apparent reason the background photo had suddenly zoomed or magnified if you see what I mean. As is usual I switched PC off and on but no joy - what could I have done to the PC or monitor and more im...

Re: Duxford 'Showcase Days'

Might think about attending these next year.
If I may ask re parking and attendance - how does this compare with an air show at Duxford or is it more low key.
Is parking still on the airfield or has it moved across the road.
Any comments gratefully received.
many thanks

Duxford Premium membership

Might be interested in this particularly for the benefits of on site parking and enclosure on air show days
Can anyone share their experiences of these two aspects.
Also what is photography like from there - I presume there is tiering in the enclosure and no standing.
TIA for any comments

Re: New Hotel @ IWM Duxford

Provided it doesn't affect air displays I quite like the idea of booking a room and strolling down to the airfield on show days. Might encourage me to go more often.

And instantly delete any posts which reference the Swedish Historics, obviously. Wow are they coming next year!? ... well I'd personally probably rather they didn't recreate anything like that these days. They don't for ground based parades I suggest you look at battle reenactments e.g. Victory Show next week. A Buchon masquerading as a 109 and letting off some white smoke is really nothing to be losing sleep ove...

Re: Bournemouth Air Festival 2019

The clarity of some of these shots are exceptional IMHO. Do they do practice displays at airport ? - these are not all just your conventional landing and t/off shots. Also I did notice there was a paddle steamer or equivalent parked just outside the display box at sea with quite a few spectators on ...

Re: Bournemouth Air Festival 2019

I assume use of "the Hun" is a joke? The use of the word Hun goes back to Kaiser Wilhelm II who made an infamous speech in 1900 where he compared the might have Germany to that of Attila the Hun. "Just as a thousand years ago, the Huns under Attila won a reputation of might that live...
