I guess the slot requirement simply allows them to manage the customer flow and certainly from my side, I would find it very useful as it won't be over busy at any one time. Fantastic set of images, especially the A-10s. How I miss these stunning aircraft.


I haven't checked yet, but some of these aircraft registrations seem familiar, I wonder if some are the ones based at Alconbury, Woodbridge etc. back in the day.

Airport Parking is definitely becoming an expensive business. I'm not even sure booking very early (if you can) saves you much. Best Airport I use is East Midlands. I got 5 days at £45. When booking I always add on as much time to my return time as I can before the price goes up a level. Worth a try...

I heard a similar reason to that EGLL mentioned... environmentalists complaining. Will have a look tonight to see if that is the case.
