Doesn't mean it's going to show. Lancaster was down for the BoB show and didn't appear.

The only minor fly in the ointment was that the Armoury Cafe was closed.
The Armoury Café was open. If not where did I get my Cappuccino when I arrived, with members discount, from?. :grinning:

If you want a quiet air show to hear the roar of a Merlin engine, then don't go down the M11 end. Just outside AirSpace is a funfair. Generators, dodgems merry-go-rounds, spinning teacups etc., not to mention the music that will be blaring out and kids screaming and shouting.

Re: BBMF Lancaster email

To arrive back from a test flight with an engine out, them to depart back for base and have a different engine out, is absurd. It didn't arrive back at Duxford with an engine out, it was still running. There was nothing wrong with the engine, it was a gauge indication. Any way, the Lancaster can fl...

Duxford Flying Evenings: After Hours ~ 28th August 2021

A new addition to the airshow calendar at Duxford was an evening flying display and fortunately the rain we had in the morning and wall to wall clouds for the rest of the day parted for some glorious evening sunshine. A big plus point was that the sun was behind the crowd line and some of the best n...

Re: ‘Pelican of London’ Sail Training Ship & Tower Bridge.

The forward-facing guns of HMS Belfast are permanently positioned to score a direct hit on the London Gateway service station at Scratchwood. It is no myth. The target is intentional. If the six-inch guns were loaded with shells, they could deliver an awesome pounding to the M1 cafe and toilet stop...
