Re: P-51D Mustang "Jersey Jerk"

All depends on how they marketed the event. If they promised the photographers a 'first look' at this P-51, it would be odd to have it parked out on the airfield all day for others to photograph it first. If you had paid for that privileged 'first look', you would no doubt be a bit peeved to see va...

Northolt Night Shoot XXX: 07Mar24

My take on a blustery and wind chill cold evening in west London which made hand holding a bit of a challenge. Many thanks to Phil and the volunteers, RAF Northolt service and civilian personnel and the visiting aircrews without whom there wouldn’t be much to night shoot. In the order taken. https:/...

Re: Duxford Diary 2024

I visited on Wednesday and was struck by three things. Firstly that the crowd line has been extended to the taxiway at the eastern end of the airfield, a most welcome enhancement to the venue, Car parking for the Quilt Show, back to normal next week. L0081/24: Duxford: Apron : miscellaneous plain l...

Hate to think what will happen to the Sunderland if thats the case for Airspace!
Cold war Started in 1947 (according to wiki) and the Sunderland retired from RAF service in 1959.

Well they're about to spend £1.5 million on a new playground!

TT
The £1.5M is a grant from the Garfield Weston Foundation and not from the IWM coffers.

Re: Duxford Diary 2024

Hi, I'm looking for some advice. I'll be visiting IWM for the first time on Feb 29th with 4 of my fellow spotter friends and I'm wondering if there is a possibility to photograph any activities on the airfield/runway when visiting the Museums? Thanks! Tom Yes, but you need a long lens 400mm minimum...

Proof that you don’t necessarily need a clear blue sky as background for a great photo.
Especially when you can photoshop a new cloud scape in.

On the website it states that the flying starts at 2.
And on their Facebook page
The museum will be open from 10am until 6pm. Flying starts at 1pm and parking permits are not required.
