Belgium Airforce Days 2018 - Kleine Brogel (big post)

Took me far longer than intended to process these and its a very large post! The shots are taken over the 3-days of the Belgium Airforce Day at Kleine Brogel airforce base. Its not a bad place for photography in the early morning to early afternoon but after that it becomes a nightmare of sun in you...

Re: RAF Marham Enthusiasts Day/ Night shoot

well said Gary No one is forcing anyone to go. The station wanted to make a certain amount of money from the event and combine that with the limited number of people you get the £50 price. If that's too much for you, don't go, do the usual and watch the jets from the fence as they go by. Probably ir...

Re: Dave is a Lemon

Some interesting comments etc., I'm no real Dave fan (esp. the "B" model) but the some of what the guy says is probably true form a certain perspective Have any of you actually listened to what he's said? To summarise... The F-35 is a turkey because it's a multi-role platform With the same...

Re: RAF Marham - GR4's For Queens B'day Flypast

Thanks @blackcat, yes agree on the wind but as you can see from shot-5 the third one was well and truely in a heat haze. 115 was one of the flying spares. She was actually the first back and declared an emergency with a hung, full wing tank. They brought her in hot and fast but he stopped just short...

RAF Marham - GR4's For Queens B'day Flypast

Took the trip up to RAF Marham to watch the GR4's for the Queens Birthday flypast depart / recover. They fielded 8 jets, the two 617 special tails and 6 Marham birds (mainly 2-sqn) + one ground spare. 6 were for the fly-past with two flying spares. They departed as Gibson-1 and 2 with a special tail...

Luton "Airbus" Airport 21/04/13 - Do Boeing Build Planes?

OK, I was very bored on Sunday so decided to go to Luton Airport. Its only 15-mins away but I rarely visit, however the alternates the Wif was suggesting I could do instead were not appealing. Anyway after about an hour there I was ready to beleive that Boeing had given up making commercial airplane...

Axalp Ebenfluh Range Tues 11th Oct-11 - Very Pic Heavy!

As a lot of you will of heard by now the actual Fliegerschiessen demo at Axalp was cancelled this year putting pay to a lot of our plans. A10s with live weapons at an airshow? "technically" the event is not a airshow. The pair were on there way to Holbeach (at least thats where they vectored too from Marham) and really only did more or less straight and level passes - not that I'm complaining I would assume the weapons carr...

RAF Marham Family Day 2011 (inside - image heavy)

Well I more or less got of the plane from Bubble and Squeak land and jumped in the car to get to the 2011 Marham Family Day this year. Its always a good day out with the chance to speak to the crews and see the planes close up. Both the static and flying display this year actually looked very thin, ...

Phantom of the Ruhr - Shuttleworth 03/07/11

After the Jurgmann incident in the morning I was really looking forward to a sunny airshow, with a excellent different program, the "tiger" Sabre, Huribomber etc. As others said it was not to be, the light was just aweful forphotography and 95% of my shots have just gone in the bin. The on...
