Disgruntled - I think you have made a good point about the staff in Number 10; they clearly had no respect for BJ's leadership - and respect has to be earned.
DerekF - Corbyn would have imposed an East German like regime on the country before you could say "Stalin."

Re: Top Gun 2 - Its Happening

Thoroughly enjoyed the film, lots of action, well acted and a coherent story. What struck me was the lack of squadron markings on the Hornets.

While it's a question of degree the theft of a penny or a million pounds is still theft.
Therefore are the Tory ministers and MPs supporting BJ in his wrong doing for the sake of their own careers any different to Putin's cabal supporting him for exactly the same reason?

Re: RIAT 2022 Discussion Thread

Air Forces will only send what they want to send/are able to. As I mentioned in another thread, some enthusiasts live in a dreamworld where they think DBH go shopping in an aircraft equivalent of Tesco to decide what they want to attend the show and it simply just doesn't work like that. Partly rig...

Re: RIAT 2022 Discussion Thread

I have to admit that helicopters and turbo trainers don't light my fire particularly. Having been to every IAT/RIAT since 1977 and been a member of F(R)IAT since 1983 - a quick tally comes to 108 days of my life! - I really miss the days of multiple types of fast jets, a variety of camo schemes, the...

Re: Deceased in 2022

Former Tubes singer Re Styles died at the age of 72 on Apr. 17, Born Shirley Macleod in the Netherlands in 1950, she was a model who’d appeared in Playboy and Penthouse by the time she met Tubes drummer Prairie Prince in the mid ‘70s. The pair developed a relationship and Styles became the band’s co...

Re: The UKAR politics thread

It's striking to read the forums on the Guardian and read almost exactly the same defences of KS that you can read on the Fail forums re defending BJ. Many people do not seem to have the ability to separate their own political allegiances to a more calculated analysis of the facts. Plus one on that...

Russia cancelled their flypast today due to 'weather conditions' yet it was blazing sunshine? Wonder what the real reason was? Tbf, imagine the intense political embarrassment if someone was able to smuggle a Stinger to Moscow and pop an Il-76 or Tu-95 on live television. (That’s just the “in a nut...

I accept Starmer saying he believed he was following the rules (whether or not he did follow the rules); I don't believe Johnson when he says he thought he wasn't doing anything against the rules. Overall there has been too much inconsistency in the application and enforcement of the rules; for exam...

Re: The UKAR politics thread

One assumes that all present at that "gathering" are being investigated, not just KS. If it's done properly then all involved should be interviewed and the results cross-referenced. As he is adamant no rules were broken, I wonder if KS will challenge the fine if it's imposed; that would be...
