Re: Milwaukee Air and Water Show 2019

Nice shots. I’m looking to visit on the Sunday this year after Oshkosh. Do you have and tips or advice for a first time visitor, in particular where best to view from? Any info much appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Jet Fest - North Weald 27-29 September 2019

No constructive comments from ‘JetFest HQ’ on Facebook re the customer feedback from yesterday just a defensive unapologetic tone littered with sarcasm. Breathtaking arrogance quite frankly which is such a shame as the event could have so much potential.

Re: Jet Fest - North Weald 27-29 September 2019

Yesterday was a big let down. I understand it was never promised to be an air show and obviously the weather did not help...but.. what was delivered fell well short of their own hype. I believe new events should be supported given the decline of the UK scene and that’s why I went yesterday. Sadly th...

Re: Shuttleworth Heritage Day - 2nd September 2018

Tim was commentating at Cosby yesterday. If you want unlimited top sides perfectly lit with uncluttered ground shots, that’s the place to go. That said it’s not an Airshow so the display is short but very good quality. Lots of other stuff going on as well.

Re: Victory Show 2018

Great afternoon at Cosby. A short display as the flying is secondary to the main event but high quality. Multiple top sides from all participants, clean taxy, take off and landing shots... what’s not to like!!

Re: Emirates 777 incident in Dubai

BBC have video showing the scenes inside during the evacuation.... unbelievable to see people worrying about retrieving their bags first....and maybe more so that someone thought to take a video. Looks like they had seconds to spare once off... these actions could have made it a lot worse.

Re: lost images/ unformated card

I had a similar problem with a new 32bd Lexar professional card recently - had most of my pics from La Ferte Alais on it! After some frantic Googling and an online chat with Lexar, established that the issue for me was that the card reader I used could not cope with the speed of the card. Bought a n...

Looking at doing the show this year and just looking for a bit of advice ...

Are there normally any departures on the Sunday... or do they wait to Monday?

What's the off base viewing like.. is it doable and are there any suggested locations?

FS: Sigma 50-500 Canon Fit (SOLD)

Hi - am selling my trusty Sigma EX 50-500 mm f/4.0-6.3 APO HSM DG Canon fit lens. Great lens with a wide zoom range, ideal if you only have one camera body. Some cosmetic damage to the barrel where the coating has come away but optically and mechanically sound. Selling as surplus to requirements. It...
