Re: RIAT 2024 wishlist.

The French two-ship demo teams should release their schedules next week, just a few international events. I dont think they have ever sent demos to two different shows in the same country in the same year apart from 2018. Also, I dont think Requin Mike is even displaying this year so that only leav...

Re: RIAT 2024 - discuss most things thread

Perhaps there’s a difference between “practice” and “validation”. Yes they are different, on paper behind the scenes. As nice as OW's Chippy is, there is one knocking around with the proper bubble canopy, or at least there was. Just sayin'... Invite has been extended to the owner/operator of that C...

Re: RIAT 2024 - discuss most things thread

Ticket question

Can you now not add an enclosure now on top of existing tickets for the show??

I didn't book an enclosure as wasn't sure could afford it but now can, but the website only shows package deals and no enclosure only option??

What is rumoured? If you can’t say then don’t answer , it’s all good That's why I did my post because anyone can put random rumour stuff on these forums without any shred of information and not back it up, as a 2 fingers up and I know something you don't know attitude. As you say if you don't want ...

The aircraft that I'm surprised that has never displayed here is the jf17 thunder, so would be good to see that in the display.

That post says nothing about debut display, just debut at Shuttleworth. So perhaps this was the first show they wanted it at.

Re: Flying Legends 2023 - 15-16 July - Leeds East/Church Fenton

By repute there were around 3-4000 a day compared to the 10-15000 they were aiming for so no, my understanding is it made a considerable loss. Be interesting to see whether they plan one for 2024 and when. Meantimes other shows may emerge.... TT No surprise. The big demand for an airshow up there i...

Always a decent show at OB and it has really grown in recent years. Price rise meant I gave it a miss this year, the only negative is that Ken 'Exceptional' Ellis is a bit annoying on commentary. And his jokes are recycled year on year!
That's why I missed it this year, the price rise.

Ok - My views on RIAT 2023, only attended the sunday, Access in to and out of Blue was ok, The 100% bag search was nonsense as not everyone was being searched or having their bag searched, myself included! even when I hovered around for a split second expecting them to search it. My mate asked this year and you can’t just turn up with your watch these days. They said it was “invite only” but how you get an invite I don’t know. Perhaps an email to their customer support or marketing dept would be a start That's what I had heard, that you had to get in contact with someone fi...

This might be apocryphal, but I always thought that you rock up wearing your Breitling and that's your entry pass. Quite a thing to be given by the way. We were looking at the new ones in the Breitling tent, they're not a cheap watch option!! Hi CJS, I wasn't sure on if it worked that way as I saw ...
