Re: Sikorsky S-38 'Osa'a Ark' in Jersey

Popped over this afternoon and can confirm that she is parked up at Goodwood. It was too busy to get onto the aerodrome, loads of activity with people preparing for the Revival meeting. Will try again on Monday, hopefully with a camera. Does anyone have any info as to when she may depart Goodwood pl...

Re: Who here has seen...

Never had the good fortune to see her fly, but remember the day she was cancelled as though it was yesterday! Roland Beamont spoke highly of her and that was good enough for me. I believed, at the time as I do today, that her potential was such our cold war adversaries and our so called "allies...

Not sure that I would have risked the shot of the Vulcan against the sun. Some of your Arrows shots with the clouds were well caught, they look very interesting indeed.

As for Draken, there is also a danish TF-35 in Scandinavian Historic Flights fleet. http://www.shf.as/htm/aircraft_draken.html

Thank you for the correction Bjorn. Having read about the Danish Draken I should have remembered it.

Re: Swedish Supermodel, the J 35J Draken (Aeroseum 2010)

whats the J35 Draaken like as I never seen one fly are they loud The Draken is a relatively small, fast and, for its day, advanced fighter that could and, I believe, should have sold in greater numbers. Sadly, to see one flying today requires a visit to Sweden or perhaps the USA. IMHO the J35 is on...

Re: Swedish Supermodel, the J 35J Draken (Aeroseum 2010)

You are quite correct Daniel. My mistake. How could I forget such a magnificent beast and potent integrated weapons system as the Viggen? I remember reading about her when she was still on the drawing board, then seeing her for the first time (Farnborough) and now she is long out of service. It woul...

You have reason to be proud of the Swedish aviation industry Daniel. Just consider the world leading aircraft produced by SAAB since WWII, e.g J 29 , 32, 35 and 39.

It offers an interesting and different perspective to that of my 70-200 + 1.4TC and probably too much for me to handle.
