Re: Bruntingthorpe Closure?
They do have engines, well they did on friday, one looks to of been removed recently. However i'm certain they'd be replaced anyway as they've been idle for way to long now. id be more concerned about the lack of rudders because of wind action and further damage to the fins.

Speaking as a hostee of these kind of events it makes sense for us to use companies such as these for many reasons. the main ones are No valuable time spent by our volunteers advertising and ticketing an event. Photographers/enthusiasts requirements on the day are more easily accommodated due to man...

absolutely unbelievable, it makes me wonder why groups doing their utmost to preserve aircraft usually at their own expense and in their own time bother sometimes. The rub is, its usually too give so called enthusiasts something to go and look at for little or no reward. conspiracy theories and out ...

Your correct the museum is open on sundays,
weekday access is either granted by the owner for special events such as this or official- as in you are visiting one of the business's.
It was planned to allow the public in on the friday but wasnt possible on the monday.

Re: TBAG emergency tyre appeal
hi,
Another good suggestion.
We have a good relationship with 885's owners and they have been very helpful to us and other groups at Bruntingthorpe in the past.
in the first 24hrs we've received donation of £200, So a big thank you to all those who have already donated.

Re: Ripple Tornado saved - and it gets better....
yes its going to bruntingthorpe, as a runner ? highly unlikely its got no engines. Nor are there likely to be any available anytime soon i would imagine as they are still in demand. The electricery of the tornado does'nt allow for much sitting outside all year round either, it'll be nice to see it p...

brunty in the snow
Just got round to unloading the camera and thought you'd like to see these from last weekend. Some of us stayed overnight at the airfield fervishly working on XW544 thinking the snow wouldn't amount to much and awoke to find this ! Not the best quality but worth a look. http://i1203.photobucket.com/...

Re: New arrivals at bruntingthopre
The Hercs are parked well away from the other aircraft and not accessible from the museum. The track goes right past them but i'd suspect they'll be fenced off pretty quickly and fairly hard to photograph fairly quickly
