Re: DanO @ Fly Navy III

In fairness DanO, the pilots probably see your photo's, and think "Whats the point of giving topsides when its amateur hour down there" Tell you what, come back when you've mastered the apostrophe. HAHAHA, I'll assume that's "point taken" on your behalf then, seeing as that's al...

Thanks.

The notam is for 24th May 12:55 to 13:55, and 27th May 15:40 to 16:40. Therefore the practise display will be around 2-3pm Thursday, and then actual display around 5pm on Sunday.

Re: Duxford Air Festival 2018

Wow you people do crack me up!! I guess it depends on who you are. If you're a pilot, then you'd prefer the Sea Fury with a P&W all day long!!! If you're a "die hard" aviation enthusiast, then quite likely you prefer the Cent....but is a Cent on the ground better than a P&W in the ...

Re: A poll - will CAA changes effect your habits?

I seem to be one of the few who goes to shows just to see and hear the aircraft, rather than watch them through a viewfinder. Duxford will be my first show this year so genuinely interested to compare whether the experience is lessened for us non-photographers. From what I've read it's mainly photo...

Re: Shuttleworth Uncovered 4 October 2015

Why do you lot get so uptight about photos!! I think maybe you should take a break from photography, because clearly it's ruining shows for you. I had no camera, which means the show was perfect, sun was perfect, flying was perfect, and got to see loads of underside passes...... Lovely! The only sli...

The saddest thing is, no matter how silly it sounds, we were a close family of 100+ people, and thats one big family!! And its all gone for now, all because of the owners/management filling their pockets rather than actually running the business!!!

Re: Gnat crash at CarFest

To be fair, I would like to think that anyone who knows a lot about flying and aerodynamics would have their opinion on it, and to me it seems fairly conclusive going by past events, but the worry is the press I suppose. So I can understand why speculation is bad on an open forum, but that is the wo...

Re: How we react to fatal accidents

It is the way of the world these days unfortunately. Everyone just assumes that they did everything they could to avoid a school, a family, a bunny sanctury, but reality is, they probably didnt stand much chance. And thats nothing against any pilot. Thats just the name of the game unfortunately. You...

Re: What has happend to the BBMF DSH three ship display ?

just want to clarify this, but after a little googling, the rough stall speed of a MK9 spit (for example) is 90kts, whereas the rough cruising speed of a DC3 is 150kts Im not saying the fighters would be able to do much, but surely flying formation isnt impossible at those speeds??? Think of all the...

Wow!! What a spot!!

Its a L/H wing flap track fairing off an Airbus A319/A320/A321, very likely to be no.3 L/H, which is the second fairing in from the wingtip!!

Hope that helps lol
