Update on model builds

Got fed up with the JP as the small scale models are getting a tad hard to build with the really small bits an decals, I might have another go at scratch building the Glideslope Ariel on the nose: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50083745786_2c18c8ed49_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50...

Re: Your holiday plans

Cancelled a cruise, just waiting for the return of the excess deposit we paid and looking at going back to the Lake District later on in the year as we managed to have a short break there just before everywhere closed, although quite a few are pretty much booked up in July, August & September.

So BJ has had no issues with letting people go but Cummings has some kind of hold. We may never know why.
It is those sneaky Russians behind it all, Cummings is a mole

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

Tommy, I will respond to this part of your eloquent response, which was interesting, so thank you: Viable alternative to the Cummings situation is to sack him. That’s quite simple. Others may be more complex. I totally agree with that, Johnson, in my opinion, has done himself and the Conservatives u...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

Just exactly how can they state with any surety that had we gone into lockdown earlier that those lower figures would have been as stated, what empirical data/evidence was used to extrapolate that data into proven fact, I don't know and would just be interested as to how after the fact this would ha...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

That is your opinion, along with a few others, does not make it correct, nor for that matter incorrect, it is merely a personal view that does not give any useful alternative that would be of benefit to the situation, like Brexit no-one has gone through this before so there will be a lot of conjectu...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

From what I read across the media, like with Brexit, there are those that will moan at anything the Conservatives/Johnson does, or does not do, and all without any considered viable alternative that would have been better, that is of course with the exception of the opinionated hindsight experts tha...

Re: Lock down mega build Week 5 update

Looking good and well done  , how you managed to do all those models concurrently I will never know, I had enough problems with 3 and one is not yet finished as I am awaiting some decals and extras that I should be able to use for detail extras.

I previewed the post several times and the pictures were there, came back to the site after logging off, twice, and the pictures still showed now they do not, any clue as to why they would suddenly disappear, they are linked to Google photos and I followed the instructions on linking to the pictures...

My Models so far under current lockdown

My attempt at the 208 Squadron Hawker Hunter XE643 at RAF Eastleigh, although the accident report states it was at Mombasa Airport. The nose emblem was copied and printed on thin paper and stuck on, I decided that £25.00 for some old decals was a tad much considering I only wanted two off the sheet....

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

Our local butchers has told us that due to the people trying to panic buy meat and all milling around in front of the counter they are going to shut the shop and look at delivery in the local area, local hairdressers have shut. Some git tried to take three 16 roll packs of toilet roll that had just ...

Sorry Tommy, I was going to avoid getting back into the debate but had to respond to your last post sign off, you are not an idiot, any more than the leave voters are, despite having been labelled as such, and much worse, by the more vehement remain supporters over the last three and a half years an...

Re: Military aircraft retirements

According to UKSerials both 102 and 107 were withdrawn from use in 2017. Incorrect, the only aircraft of the Sentry fleet at RAF Waddington that has been taken out of service was ZH105 and that was reduced for spares, ZH104 must be the next planned reduction in the fleet, this leaves 5 aircraft whi...
