Flippin' Heck Graham - is that ALL you did this weekend? I'm joking...... best get that in before you choke on your Horlicks reading the above ;) What a fast turnaround that was to swap the legs over.... with just that minor inconvenience of that nose section being stubborn to pop off! But this two-...

Well that was worth the wait Graham ;)

It wasn't you that broke Social Media last night was it, with all these brilliant updates?

That nose leg looks amazing!
The Halifax looks stunning!

Another great update there Graham - and when I say "long may it continue" - I mean that in the sense of continual updates like this; not to drag this project out so long that I'm not around when she fires into life and taxies around Elvington ok...lol?

Re: DH Chipmunk WK640/G-BWUV Restoration Project

Graham, I think you are severely under-estimating the interest in all the projects you are sharing on here, big or small; jet or prop - it matters not. What is important is that by updating us as progress is made, or more bits are acquired - it makes for excellent reading on each thread :) I'm sure ...

Oh this is getting better by the day :)
Or have you cheated and just tacked on the rear end of a convenient silver Meatbox instead.... such is the speed of this round of updates ;)
It's going to be one hell of a transformation when its finished all over in silver that's for sure!

Graham, just to reassure you - the time you spend compiling the updates on here are most definitely worthwhile! Re: Questions regarding Spencer Flack's Spitfire G-FIRE

Judging by this clear shot, I would say silver wheel hubs for certain. And the cockpit interior certainly does seem black and not the usual familiar green you see on other Spitfires.

So just a few minutes work there then Graham ;) Seriously it's all coming together nicely! The tantalising glimpses of the colour scheme coming together panel by panel are excellent, and I see your point about doing the stenciling now rather than take on the task in one big push after the final pain...

If you want genuine ex-UK Military ones - no!
This is an example of the genuine ex-RAF ones

Civilian ones tend to be plain red with the RBF wording on them

The final aircraft on deployment will return to RAF Waddington in the coming few days, it is not known if the airframes will fly again or face the scrap man in the same manner as the Sentinel fleet. One will live on, albeit in a different role: https://www.janes.com/defence-news/news-detail/uk-to-s...
