Re: Farewell E-3D Sentry

The final aircraft on deployment will return to RAF Waddington in the coming few days, it is not known if the airframes will fly again or face the scrap man in the same manner as the Sentinel fleet. One will live on, albeit in a different role: https://www.janes.com/defence-news/news-detail/uk-to-s...

Re: Windows 11

Think I've got a PC up in the attic that still has Windows Vista on it.😄 I'm still using Vista to type this...lol ;) Just got a replacement tower with W10 today as a matter of fact as I gradually got fed up with the imcompatibility issues with browsers etc of late plus a generally tired tower. Othe...

Re: A-W Meteor NF.14 WS788 Restoration Project

Well done to all of you on the team Graham... a couple of really interesting updates indeed! Good to see that the younger generation are keen to continue the legacy of restoration projects like this - without the new blood, many projects around the globe would simply stop! I consider myself one of t...

Thanks for another great update Graham!
So now you're adding a Lightning to your 'portfolio' of work-in-progress - almost a squadron forming at this rate lol ;)
I'm sure it must have been very satisfying to bring 788 back to life once more, and I look forward to the next exciting installment!

Graham.... I am utterly stunned by that panel! It looks absolutely amazing now - and then I scrolled down to see that you've lit it too..... at which point my jaw dropped and I was lost for words. What a transformation! The more you're doing to this, and the other projects (I believe there was a Met...

Re: Coventry airport to possibly be turned into a factory

I apologise for this, I didn’t mean that they should actually give it to the Museum, If there was an area near the Museum where they could operate from away from the proposed Factory Area. There is literally no space left if this plan goes ahead. The entire airfield and open space would be swallowe...

Wow.... I wasn't imagining replica instruments to look quite so authentic! Nice tool selection too Graham - that Chobert riveter is especi...

Re: Coventry airport to possibly be turned into a factory

Just a quick response - the Museum is on land that is independent from the airport land, long-term leased from what I recall briefly. That should mean that the artists impression proposal may well be accurate, albeit swamping the Museum with surrounding industrial property rather than a live airfiel...
