Re: First Show on July 18

£50 may be reasonable for a full car of 4/5/7 people, but for a single person? You’re essentially paying RIAT price (I still maintain that’s too high, but that’s another argument for another time) for a much lesser product. But it’s not up to me to dictate or judge how others spend their time and mo...

Not strictly an airshow, per se, but as it was a public event I feel this is the best I can offer up... Weather far from perfect, but the crowds always come out to celebrate aviation and history; and expecially for the rare/poignant moments. https://live.staticflickr.com/741/20579616488_14d5973693_o...

These oldies threads really are wonderful. I was there on the Sunday, missed the Russian MiG-29 incident but can vaguely remember it being on the news the Saturday evening. The Hungarian MiG-21s were the Hussars weren’t they? And the yellow one was the villain of their display piece I recall? My mem...

Re: Will air shows be cancelled because of coronavirus

Actually you can go and ask an employer to put you on furlough, but it’s their decision whether or not they do. I recall a few days ago hearing Martin Lewis suggesting that employees who changed jobs recently and couldn’t start work at a new employer could try to return to the old employer and ask i...

Re: Your favourite image from 2019

Not many outings again for me this year. Aside from RIAT, and a visit to RAFM Cosford, the only other trip I made sure I made was to Waddington for Cobra Warrior - there was no way I was going to pass up on the opportunity to photograph IDF/AF Eagles! Anyway, here's what I'd probably class as my fav...

Cobra Warrior, Friday 13th

For the superstitious, Friday the 13th can be seen as unlucky... Lucky for me that it didn't turn out so! I took a day off and headed to RAF Waddington for the Cobra Warrior Exercise. Great morning was had with some great weather - I wasn't far off from getting sunburn. Thought we'd be in luck with ...
