11/5/12 - Valley quick stop

Hi all, took leave on Friday and had a quick stop in at Valley. Was only there for an hour or so but still caught a few movements. A King Air arrived for a brief stop but none of the shots were particularly interesting 1. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7221/7184659714_59b5f1b77f_b.jpg Hawk T2 ZK017 b...

Re: Giant Puppets!

Looks even more packed than the Saturday, and your elevated viewpoint is really effective in 2 and 3. Nice to see them departing on the boat too. It's only a shame you couldn't see 'all' of it, but in some ways that's why it was so effective, you turn up and there is a 60ft man walking down London Rd!

Re: A bit of help required!

I mean suspicious as in it looked a lot like something. My dialec is confusing at times! Heard nothing about it, I'm sure the local papers will inform me of such a meeting. If it is true, I will post in off topic if you like? No, I wouldn't bother, I'm sure it's not true as I've heard Alan knocks o...

Re: A bit of help required!

How suspicious does a Spitfire look? I've always considered them to be honourable.

If it helps can anyone confirm that Sir Alan Sugar had a meeting at Wrexham Rugby club this evening?

Re: A bit of help required!

Oh ok, why not? Wrong colour? Presumably because it's not what he wants to hear.. Same with the Piper Saratoga I tied up for him just over a week ago. No, just realised it can't be the Beech as the landing lights on the Beech don't point forwards like the one Tom spotted. I'll see if any of my othe...

Re: Martin Baker releases statement on Red Arrows incident.

I was always under the impression that there was more than one safety pin in these seats and the pilot only removed the last one, when he was ready to. Fact or fiction? there are 4 pins per seat [Hawk has 2 seats] so 8 pins plus 4 pins for canopy MDC 2 for front & 2 for rear sections. there are...

Re: Breaking news - incident involving a jet with the Red Ar

Sad News indeed. RIP Red 5. Red 5 this last season was Kirsty Moore - I'm guessing that he was new to the Reds, certainly that position. Very sad especially in this rememberance week as well. Also lets not forget the lives of the many young men and women who give the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanist...

Hi Stephen I was at the loop that day with my son and wife and it was a fantastic hour or so. Your pictures are fantastic but where about were you ? These were taken from the Bwlch 'Exit' where the aircraft make (or not) the left turn down towards Cad after coming through Bwlch. Neil's shots that y...

Re: Duxford or Newark?

Playground is probably a better analogy, and we all sink to that at times It's only public in so much as people have to seek it out. Yes I think people should be circumspect about what they say on Twitter, but being rude isn't yet a criminal offence. I take exception to someone dragging it into anot...

Re: Duxford or Newark?

The Twitter extracts are disgraceful though and shows a staggering amount of immaturity in those posting. If you won't say it to soemone's face don't say it at all. Sorry but I disagree, twitter is a private conversation held in a public place. The only people that would have seen those comments we...

Re: Welsh Eagles 28-10-11

Thanks for the comments guys, a day to remember. I've been up quite a few times now and have had my share of bad weather and blanks, days like this (also 2nd June 2010) remind me why I subject myself to it. I've put a few in the queue at the 'Website of broken dreams' (Anet), let's see how I do Steve

Welsh Eagles 28-10-11

What a superb day, Went out to Wales yesterday grabbing a lift from a mate, with the hope of catching some low level action. The weather was predicted to be spot on so we had high hopes that some interesting traffic would get out after the grim weather we'd been having. Some early Hawks caught me ou...
