Re: Why do my photos look flat and dull
I think you should have used AV mode set to around f8 to f11, set the ISO to around 400 or 800 and used a shutter speed of no more the 1/400. I don't know much about your lens but I'm guessing it's not great at those sort of apertures that you used. Find what aperture your lens works best at! Grey o...

So you two are quite happy to go along with he steered it away to avoid a disaster type of comment! Sorry if I had an opinion on that comment!

Re: How we react to fatal accidents
Kevin Whyman guided the aircraft away from what could have been a disaster. There is only one person that could have possibly known what happened in those last few seconds! Sadly he's not around to say! Looking at that video, I feel he was just a passenger in those last few seconds. I don't know of...

C-5 has always been known as Fat Albert, the only Hercules I have known to be called Fat Albert is the Blue Angels Hercules! Herky Bird is the common nickname for the C-130's.

I don't care if they call it a Blenheim or not I'm just glad it's back in the air again, it looks great and is a credit to the team that restored it.

5 B-17's, up to 7 P-51's, 3 Buchons and the B-25 or the Avenger camera ships in formation is quite a noise that can be heard for some time when they were approaching! Used to have them all come over daily when they were filming out of Duxford! Always remember listening to the scanner and watching Ma...

Re: Best RAF Display of 2014
Chinook was superb this year! I didn't mind the Typhoon but I think it could do better, Red Arrows were good, Tutor was better this year I thought but this and the Tucano in my opinion should be static only to let the kids crawl over them! BBMF were good, I think people are too harsh on them as to m...

Re: Cosford Museum Airframe outside
What Dan says makes perfect sense, it didnt need to be arranged as a specific shoot, park them where joe public can see them properly, put a note out on social media that they're available to see / photo outside then reap the rewards. But hey, its an opportunity to chastise Dan isnt it boys No it w...

Re: Cosford Museum Airframe outside
DanO perhaps it's a handful of people that give up there own free time to organise these events without the added pressure of sorting out a photo shoot as well. It's all to easy to criticise someone's efforts when you're not actually involved in organising such an event! Seen it before at motocross ...

Hasboman, To be fair Legends wasn't as good but the weather played a big part of that in the days leading up to the show! You couldn't even see the tops of the wind turbines beside the A11 near Duxford on the days before the show! No wonder many aircraft didn't make it there! Personally I enjoyed ev...
