Re: Sneaky Egyptian (?) prop aircraft ident please?
Dave has emailed over the photos for me to look at. The first one is Embraer's Super Tucano (PT-ZTU) Not sure where it came from but Flightradar says it then flew to Malta, and then to Rabat. The second plane is a Spanish Air Force Falcon 900. Late to the Party with this one, but it was fr...

Re: Death of the Bournemouth Air Festival
3] New-Look Festival: In 2025, the Bournemouth Air Festival might undergo a transformation. The report suggests replacing some displays with kites and drones, creating a fresh experience for attendees. This sounds absolutely dreadful. Drones and Kites will not freshen the experience for attendees, ...

High alpha into a double immelman gets my vote and a jet tail slide is always going to get your attention, outstanding stuff. Can't believe the USAF haven't reinstated an F-15 demo- as impressive today as the firs...

Re: Malta Airshow 2023
The Sunday flying display was cancelled, anyone know why? We’re thinking about going next year assuming it will be a similar date and we’re just wondering about how logistically fragile the show is. To be fair we’re probably going to Malta anyway but it would be nice to plan dates to catch the show...

Re: The Victory Show 2nd to 3rd September 2023
That’s a shame about the Blenheim then - but again, very poor from the organisers not to remove it from the website. I seem to recall they also conveniently forgot to mention certain aircraft were appearing on one day only in previous years which at least looks to have been rectified now, with all ...

The Corsair is to replace the Blenheim as its U/S. The Buchon will be displaying both days.

Re: RIAT23 Arrivals
If a validation is done in poor weather, are they only allowed to do that display even if weather is better?? No. if validated on a flat display, they are validated for the full compliment in general. However it shouldnt be a problem as most if not all the displays have been validated somewhere els...

Re: Validation displays at air shows
In general only non UK based displays are required to validate a display in the UK, with the exception of Farnborough, which requires all displays to validate regardless. It's now generally the case that the FDD or FCC will validate a foreign display item prior to them coming to the UK if time allow...

Sqn Ldr David Thomas
It has been announced that sadly David passed away yesterday. Many will remember him from his days as XH558's display pilot in both RAF service and being instrumental in her return in to flight in civilian hands. Whether it was flying 558 or ground taxing the other Vulcan's, David was well known and...

Re: Formula 1 bans military flypasts
Since when have NATO been responsible for the conduct of airshows and flypasts? There is a NATO document - STANAG 3533, which details the rules for NATO aircraft participating in flying displays. It's not quite as restrictive as national regulations and single nations can make requirements to chang...

Re: Sunderland Airshow 2022 - CANCELLED
Indeed. I think Blackpool is the most northerly airshow on the west coast and Scarborough for the east coast? There is the annual Red Arrows flypast at the Great North Run though. There is the daily LFA17 airshow near me but admittedly, sometimes when I go, nothing turns up. With the return of Tees...

Re: AIR FETE Pt.1 - USAF PARTICIPANTS
Always a great trip out as a kid. The days where you never knew what was really going to be there and no one cared about having a list 6 months out. The excitement of looking through the calendar when you parked, taking the long walk in trying to spot what the large aircraft tails belonged to as you...
