Re: (Updated) Dundee Spitfires 30/8/20 & 17/9/20

I was gutted when I took the phone call saying they were going to Dundee instead of Perth. Ah well you win some, you loose some.
Nice set of pictures Baz...and nice to see things with aluminium wings instead of feathers for a change!

Perth NHS Spitfire Content into context

How to put the content into the context and not end up with the photo of the underside of a Spitfire with no relation to where it was taken... and this one was a failure. I guessed rightly the route but I cocked up on the timing and the composition, still, it's an interesting failure. For the record...

Well this would have been a glorious day for the Leuchars (nee Battle of Britain) Airshow has it not been cancelled and the base turned into a barracks with runways. Anyway I was meant to be helping out today at Scone on what could have been a busy day but it was reasonably quiet and well behaved, s...

Perth Photo-log 5 Sep 20

I was planning on going for a large chunk of motorbike therapy today but put it off due to the weather up north...maybe tomorrow... So I went to my local instead. Some of these pics are not quite what I want quality wise, I'm still getting to grips with the XT3, Capture One and finding a decent colo...

He's totally right, that old meatbox is looking a whole lot better for all your TLC. It would have rusted away by now and that's not museum's are about.

Getting back into the groove

Now that the lockdown restrictions are easing in this part of the world, the pilots are piloting and I'm photographing them doing it. Also getting used to Capture One as my raw editor I took a walk up Bishop Hill last week to photograph the gliders operating from the nearby Portmoak field, as they w...

I'm not familiar with this W7 and W10 terminology.

Is this Windows 7 and Windows 10?

Re: A-W Meteor NF.14 WS788 Restoration Project

I too would like to see a Flea ground running, it seems like every museum has one and all too often they are ignored but he public but they did hold an important piece in the home built history of British aircraft, if not an ignominious piece.

But for now... keep on working miracles on 788 Blue! :)

Are you sure you have not missed something?

I tried a selection and a close stamp into that collection and nothing happened to anything other than inside the selection.

Montrose Air Station

I managed to get some much needed aviation photo-therapy at the Montrose Air Station. What a pleasure it was to get out with the camera when it wasn't; blowing a gale, raining, snowing, sleet or any combination of the four. A very convincing BE.2C replica https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49575234...

Perth over the past few weeks

....has been dire for movements. Lots of miserable weather has kept a lot of aircraft in the hangars, however I have been lucky on a few occasions. Kilo Mike seen taking off from 27/09, notice the pilot is wearing "foggles." https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49498870177_0dcda62e9b_b.jpg ...

Four this weekend

Saturday I ended up being busy and unable to photograph anything until the end of the day. Forgetting to put my work light/floodlight on charge didn't help but I got the job done with a wee bit of light painting from my LED torch.
