You don't see that kind of formation all that often...not even at Oshkosh!
Nice one.

Getting back into the groove

Now that the lockdown restrictions are easing in this part of the world, the pilots are piloting and I'm photographing them doing it. Also getting used to Capture One as my raw editor I took a walk up Bishop Hill last week to photograph the gliders operating from the nearby Portmoak field, as they w...

I'm not familiar with this W7 and W10 terminology.

Is this Windows 7 and Windows 10?

Re: A-W Meteor NF.14 WS788 Restoration Project

I too would like to see a Flea ground running, it seems like every museum has one and all too often they are ignored but he public but they did hold an important piece in the home built history of British aircraft, if not an ignominious piece.

But for now... keep on working miracles on 788 Blue! :)

Thanks for the correction on the type, much to my embarrassment, I find myself caring less about the details since I got my anorak forcibly removed! :)

Are you sure you have not missed something?

I tried a selection and a close stamp into that collection and nothing happened to anything other than inside the selection.

Montrose Air Station

I managed to get some much needed aviation photo-therapy at the Montrose Air Station. What a pleasure it was to get out with the camera when it wasn't; blowing a gale, raining, snowing, sleet or any combination of the four. A very convincing BE.2C replica https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49575234...

Perth over the past few weeks

....has been dire for movements. Lots of miserable weather has kept a lot of aircraft in the hangars, however I have been lucky on a few occasions. Kilo Mike seen taking off from 27/09, notice the pilot is wearing "foggles." https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49498870177_0dcda62e9b_b.jpg ...

Four this weekend

Saturday I ended up being busy and unable to photograph anything until the end of the day. Forgetting to put my work light/floodlight on charge didn't help but I got the job done with a wee bit of light painting from my LED torch. Re: Canon Camera Query .

Why would you need another body, personally lugging around two cameras, especially with a long (and heavy) lens at an airshow is not much fun at all.

The best camera is the one you have in your hand.

Funny you should ask, I was watching this YouTube last night and absolutely cringing at how he handled the negatives. It may give you an idea on how to scan colour negatives yourself.

Re: Flickr - 1000+ photos = subscription: 10 months on.

The other useful benefit of Flickr is it is to some extent searchable, registration, key word etc. Again, there is no point in posting a picture if it can't be found. As an aside I've started on the final stages of the Oshkosh pictures, which involves searching around on the databases to tie registr...

Re: Flickr - 1000+ photos = subscription: 10 months on.

All a screener knows is how to follow the site rules. This encourages others to follow those rules and before you know it those inane sets of rules are a matter of institutional fact among the aviation photographers. This is wrong. It stifles creativity and institutionalises a what is a creative end...

My PC does not have the oomph to drive AI Sharpen Just one point, the sharpen module in Lightroom is only meany for sharpening prior to outputting to print, or saving an image at full resolution, sharpening for the web is best done, in my opinion in Photoshop. Re: Flickr - 1000+ photos = subscription: 10 months on.

I'm a long time Flickr member, roughly 24,000 pics. Certainly Flickr isn't the same now as it was, the community had been lost but it's is still a very good way of hosting ones photos. 100% completely free from the influences of screeners! The way I see it is this - a picture that taken but never s...
