I'm mulling over whether to make the expensive move to mirrorless and this thread does nothing to make that decision any easier.
My camera has a mechanical and Electronic shutter, I guess most other mirrorless cameras also have.

Re: Prop blur on Mirrorless Cameras

After a similar cock-up to yourself I make it a point to use the mechanical shutter for planes and the electronic shutter for everything else. However, if the prop isn't turning, the electronic shutter works just fine, plus it's less wear and tear on the mechanical shutter. I have been experimenting...

Scone 18 SEp - a small bubble of sunshine

Scone was encased in a small bubble of sunshine today, several aircraft took-off for airfields to the south and had to turn back due to weather. A spot of photo therapy for me and a chance to get another ride on the Beemer before the leaves start to fall bringing the season to an end. Scone A Taysid...

Scone, some interesting visitors

It's been a busy time to Scone, with a number of visitors due to arrive today. Some made it early, some got through in the end and others never left. Here's a selection... Like a dunderhead, I forgot to note the registration. I'll get it later https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51475915706_a037bb66...

Scottish aviation memorial trail

A great idea I thought to combine a trip to Moravia with a long bike ride and some history along the way. My trail starts at Braemar, and the memorial to a Wellington crew that were killed nearby. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51386005183_4f609e88f5_b.jpg R1646 Wellington memorial, Braemar by ...

Moravia 14 Aug 21

I finally got around to visiting the Moravia collection at Kinloss at the weekend plus a huge chunk of Beemer therapy with an epic 380 mile run on the motorbike, up through the Cairngorms and down through Aberdeenshire and a good fish supper at Gourdon on the way home. This is the first of a two par...

Re: Stoneykirk Aviation Museum

I’m ashamed to say I’d never heard of this museum Me too. Just went to their site and I might try and do it in August. It's a long drive, but if the weather stays fine it will be a nice run out. Well Scone today was just like Oshkosh...except for the gazillions of planes and it was damn hot outside in the sunshine. Some shots were taken from the top of the tower, giving an unusual viewpoint and one was taken from a ladder using a fish-eye lens. BEZV Ce172, a visitor from Aberdeen https://li...

Re: Valeggio sul Mincio (Italy) 2/6/21 - Emergency Flight Wing open day

Interesting to see a Eurostar "thrown-about." I wouldn't want to do aeros on one either given how thin the wing material is.
The underside of the first one isn't half manky.
