B1 (flying).
It has to happen again sometime, surely?
I do get frustrated when the B1 takes part in the exercises prior to RIAT, but then disappears home again a week or so before the show.
Couldn't they just extend their stay once in a while to take part in RIAT?
Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaasssssssssse.

Re: Cosford Airshow 2023 (discuss everything)
That B1 flypast... Remember the weather was pretty decent apart from the 10 mins that it was due to appear, it suddenly went very gloomy but a lovely sight and sound when it thundered through - agree it would have been nice for a further pass especially given the B52 did so (although seem to also re...

Re: RIAT 2022 Discussion Thread
Beluga is quite a catch! When was it’s last UK appearance? Most weeks at Chester Edited; I meant airshow. Woodford, late 90's I think. Surely a different Beluga version though, is this one a UK show debut for the XL? Indeed; the odd-ball configuration and the 'Beluga' name are the same, but it's ac...

Re: RIAT 2019
With regards to the B1, I love the aircraft so much and really wish they'd time their Baltops exercise over the RIAT month. I know..I know... Operational commitments and all that, as well as use of the airfield, but it would please so so many people if they could just see themselves doing it in the ...

I think we're all desperately hoping that we're not going to get a repeat of that infamous downpour on the Friday which then ended up flooding the fields and ruining the whole weekend.
Fingers crossed all.

Re: Bastille Day flypast 2019
Fair play that was a decent and long lasting flypast.
Doesn't seem right though that the PDF would be the first up. They should surely be the final team flying past.

Re: RIAT 2019 wish list
If it's the NATO based celebration then it just has to be a flying B1 for sure. It's been so long since we had one that I'm getting to the point now where I feel I'll never see it happen again. If RIAT are able to pull it off then this will almost certainly be the highlight of the year. Please pleas...

Re: RIAT 2018 discussion
Loved the show as per usual but a tad disappointed that the B2 only did a single pass. I do wonder why that would only be the original plan when last year we had more than that, and that whilst holding it would've given about 5 times the single pass outside of the show area. That was the only negati...

Is that an official page?
If not, how reliable is it?
Very interesting though and have been holding out hope of a flypast!

so with the b1s being at Fairford, can those who have experience of catching them departing advise if they leave at a regular time of the day and return at roughly the same point? Sorry for the questions but desperate to see a b1 take off again following many airshows without that happening. Just wo...

Not too sure what aircraft are due up and around Fairford Next Week, maybe someone can enlighten me but I'm actually staying locally from Monday afternoon through to Friday morning so keen to know if anything is up and about. Re: Rhyl Airshow 2017
Battle of Britain Memorial Flight cancelled for this weekend due to the ongoing Grounding issue.
Not the best of luck for Rhyl as the show is looking light enough this year. Needed a typhoon to liven it up as too many light acts on the bill really.

Re: Belugas into Hawarden
Chocks Away is actually a cracking little diner! If you want some overhead shots though of the Beluga, Wood Lane is good for those, a small country lane head on with the runway at the Hawarden end. Other end not so easy to park up but you can get very close to the end of the runway at the railway tr...

Well, well done DBH that's all I can say. They produced a magical line up for this year's display and despite the fact I've got two toddlers who are only 2 and 3, this prevented me from going into the show and instead taking my 3 year old to a field nearby but not too close as the noise would've bee...

Just a little heads up that the Air Tattoo app has now been updated for this year. It also has key timings for a majority of the U.S and British displays (I won't post them as I know some people will prefer the surprise). Has this been taken down hastily as I cannot see it available in the store? T...

Hi. Does anyone know if this is open for parking during show days again this year? Re: RIAT 2017 (Discussion & Participation Thread)
What Cosford did bring home today was the fact that the Bone and Buff should be in the air for the Air Tattoo. Of course I know about the reasons behind it, but, and it's a BIG but...today brought back the memories of seeing both in the air for a UK airshow, something I've not seen for a decade and ...
