Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

Apologies, I was not think of you with regards to the 'picking on students' comments - that sign-off was more in response to the comments being made continually in the local media from the various learning establishments in Nottingham; I saw one stat the other day that showed that at one time Nottin...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-54631524 4 students in Nottingham fined £10k each for being bellends (my wording). Good, now let's hope that actually have to pay it and that it starts to send a message to others who are tempted in to similar bellendery, just because they "shou...

Re: Newark Air Museum News 2020

NAM is in the first week of the local half-term holiday fortnight but it's also monitoring the ever changing Covid situation carefully and assessing what a possible move into Tier 3 might mean for the operation of its site with regards to: being able to open, and still operate the museum café and sh...

Re: Newark Air Museum News 2020

Look out for the museum on the The Gadget Show this evening; Channel 5 @ 7pm; it was used as a location for an item about Vlogging Tech.

We're not 100% certain of the content but there might be some possible coverage about our Puma rebuild on XW208!

....It’s sadder too that it’s happening with hardly a a whisper of opposition from the bodies that pose as the guardians of the nation’s aviation or wider heritage. Nothing from the DCMS, nothing from Aviation Heritage UK, nothing from the RAF Museum, nothing from the Heritage Memorial Fund.... AHU...

It's certainly a challenging time for everyone - there's a bit more explanation concerning the specifics o f the situation in Nottingham in this news item! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-54508921 From NAM's perspective we can carry on for the time being and thereby bring in vi...

Some of the areas in the South with high x per 100,000 that should be locked down but are not are constituencies belonging to Rishi Sunak, Robert Jenrick & Chief Whip Mark Spencer. Re: Blackburn Beverley anyone?

.... Then you look at the maths. NAM_Updater may be able to give a better idea, but I doubt the revenue from a weekend of people paying a couple of quid to go on board will get anywhere near the nightly price (and the consequent income) as an Airbnb (depending on how he does it up, well north of £5...

He's a cheeky bugger, right enough...

OK, I'm going to show my ignorance here, what's air BnB?
It's a way of booking holiday accommodation https://www.airbnb.co.uk/

Interesting re the Chinook option, the RAF's 'drop clause' for any loads that become unstable, tends to focus minds at the planning stage!!

Discussions still underway to see whether we might be abl...

There's currently lots of chatter on Twitter about the decision from earlier this week that the in-depth Harvard restoration project will eventually see the aircraft returned to the original RCAF markings it wore as FE930. This will be in honour of the Canadian personnel who trained with 1661HCU at ...

Sorry to hear about the trains Brian, it would have been good to catch up with you again!
