Seen the Surinam aircraft before but only as it flies over London on a Saturday afternoon. It's their only A340 I believe.

I'm not usually one to make wild demands but what are the chances of getting an AAC Apache? They're regulars over London and quite often drop into airfields for circuit training.

I noticed this overhead London just before 20:30 and wondered what had made it. Contrail stayed visible and motionless for half an hour at least and only disappeared due to fading light.

Ummm, might have been me. Though not as fast as a car that overtook me and got pulled by an unmarked car following him.

Well this is the reason for the NOTAM. Super Puma carrying this up the Thames. Expect a few reports of UFOs over London.

Just seen a civvy Puma going up river with a cable underneath. There is a notam for a heli with underslung load between 18:00 and 21:00 between Greenwich and Tower Bridge so nice to see it early.

The Ghost Stations series of books are a good read and have detailed accounts of some of the above. Have to get used to the author talking about the "despicable Japanese" though
