Re: IMPORTANT - Future of UKAR

Thanks for the concern about my health. Unfortunately I'll be needing a new kidney in a few years but it's not holding me back at the moment. While digging around I found the first incarnation of this here site. Things have moved on a bit. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1915/44432836195_476686c74f_b...

From what I saw I didn't see a chopper on board. If you're worried about parking you can park at mine for a nominal fee!

We're currently having a big catch up. Sorry for the delay, we're now putting measures in place to get POTWs updated on a weekly basis, as they should be!

Thanks. First one was actually done in camera with multiple exposure. Took a few shots to get right but I was quite happy with the way it turned out.

Re: Annoying Heathrow Noise

I don't live a million miles from Blackheath. Only aircraft coming off the Biggin and Ockham stack would overfly Blackheath and even then some would turn early, avoiding Blackheath altogether. They're usually around 4500-500ft as they turn onto the 27s. There is a possibility aircraft coming from th...

I'm not usually one to make wild demands but what are the chances of getting an AAC Apache? They're regulars over London and quite often drop into airfields for circuit training.

Re: Royal Victoria Docks 16/09/13 (+ Jarre 1988)

In the first shot you can see Cascades, one of the first modern residential blocks, just to the right of the cranes in the center. That's on the west side of the Isle of Dogs. I remember walking round the docks on the Isle of Dogs one Sunday and it was dead, nobody about. Now it has the highest hous...

Crappy photos but you can at least see what it is in the second photo. As the Sentinel tracked SE over London and its return leg. http://i722.photobucket.com/albums/ww221/paulosborne69/IMG_6147.jpg http://i722.photobucket.com/albums/ww221/paulosborne69/IMG_6150.jpg

I noticed this overhead London just before 20:30 and wondered what had made it. Contrail stayed visible and motionless for half an hour at least and only disappeared due to fading light.
