Re: Queston re Cambrais airbase - viewing

Gents, does anybody know for sure whether Dijon is currently closed for repairs? I had intended stopping off there on the way to Payerne but will need to re-think my plans if that is the case. All and any information gratefully received. This NOTAM seems to confirm it : B2180/14 NOTAMN Q) LFEE/QFAX...

Re: Which scanner antenna?

I have the same antenna (though a Diamond branded version) and it receives all aviation VHF and UHF frequencies I've tried it on fine which includes frequencies as low as 118Mhz at least.

The Hercules shot is of interest in particular. Is it one of the 5 Hercs that got damaged by the hailstorm at Kandahar?

It's a Boeing 757 indeed. Scramble has it first noted in the database in January of last year.

Re: RIAT 2014 - Participation Thread

A very almost non-existent update. The static is going to be more sparse than ever i feel. It isn't however the smallest static we have seen though. Including the Japanese KC-767A (which looks unlikely to attend now) we have a static total of 93 which just about passes the number seen in 2011 But a...

Looks like it. I hope you do realize that all of these have been photoshopped and that no T-50s have actually been painted in a desert scheme.

Another horrible update/downgrade then. As someone who travels to RIAT to see military aircraft you rarely see at other places there really isn't much left anymore. Civies do nothing for me (and don't belong at 'the world's biggest military airshow') and if I wanted warbirds I'd attend a Duxford sho...

There will be a spottersday at Kleine Brogel on September 14th according to this post in Dutch on Scramble: http://forum.scramble.nl/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=95958
Quite a few of the displaying aircraft usually fly from there. For more info have a look at http://www.spottersday.be/
