Re: 15th August - Magnificent Musical Flying Display

I think that the Lancaster is going to be a display. Seem to remember them announcing a piece of music that it would be flying to yesterday.

Re: Sunday 2 August – Drive-in Airshow (At the Movies)

Personally, the organisation of the parking seemed very chaotic today and a big step back from the last show. Those parking the cars seemed to be in a flap and all over the place with some cars on the left, some in the middle and some on the right of their boxes. This resulted in some people being s...

Shuttleworth Drive In Airshow (July)

Absolutely loved this one, was great to be back out at a show again. This is all that I can find at the moment: https://www.iwm.org.uk/airshows/faqs/covid-19. It will be interesting to see how the Showcase Days in August work to start to see how they might manage the full show.

Re: First Show on July 18

Thought today was absolutely outstanding from Shuttleworth, and felt so good to be back at an airshow again. It was superbly organised, with the cars being brought into the main area and then seemingly filling up the zones from front to back (A, then B, then C), and think there was 9 or 10 rows, goi...

Re: Yeovilton Live Stream 11/07/20

Really enjoyed the stream today, first time I have watched one of these but was very good and would definitely watch another one. The interview with Chris Gotke was very interesting to listen to and one of the highlights for me.

Heavy crop, but got it as it passed over on the way between Broomfield and Basildon.

Re: First Show on July 18

There was no mention of facemasks when in the shop or hangars. It could be because they will be shut, from the page for the show on Shuttleworth's website: Shuttleworth Swiss Garden, Play Area, Restaurant, Gift shop and Shuttleworth House are closed during this event. To keep visitors and staff saf...

Sunday 2 August – Drive-in Airshow (At the Movies)

The following has also been added to the Shuttleworth airshow webpage today, so assuming that will take the same format of the 18th July show.

Re: First Show on July 18

I'm impressed by the price, I did expect it to be more than that considering that it is per car. Aircraft list: Army Co-op: Lysander, Po2, L6 Cub Gliders: Fauvel, Eon Primary, English Electric Wren Trainers: Chipmunk, Miles Magister, Piston Provost, Avro Tutor Aeros: Extra 330, Redhawk Civillian: DH...

Re: Reds & Patrouille de France Flypast London 18/06/2020

Nice set of images from the flypast, looks like you had a much clearer view of it than I did. Went to St. James's Park to get a shot of them over the park and Horse Guards, but had the issue of them not seeing them until the last minute due to the trees. As you suggest, would have been better from a...

Abingdon Air and Country Show 2020

A new format for show in 2020, despite the previous announcements there will be displays at the show, but only helicopters. From the Facebook page: Press Release 24th August 2019 - a message from the Main Organiser Neil Porter: After our first 2020 show meeting (to be held Sunday 17th May), Neil dis...

It has definitely been moved closer...they went over there with boats earlier and moved the buoys. Definitely needed doing.

Re: IWM Duxford 'Showcase Day'

Think you had to show your membership card when going into the normal museum car park and then was directed through to the parking on the airfield. If not, it might have just been telling them you were a member, can't remember if they asked for the card at this point or not. When you parked up there...

Re: Eastbourne Airborne 2019

We were very lucky with the weather down at Eastbourne today, no rain at all during the flying display - despite the forecast and a large downpour about half an hour afterwards. So it could have been a lot worse. Only the BBMF and Sea Fury didn't make it, but think everything else that was down to f...
