No, they haven't. They haven't been mentioned on the list for today on the commentary so guessing they aren't coming. So far we've had a CAP232 and Stampe team about to go up after a shower has passed.

Re: Aero Legends 80th Anniversary Battle of Britain Airshow
There were different messages from the car park stewards too, some saying to stay in the car until half 9 others saying to go and queue straight away when we got in the car park just after 9. Already in, so much for 10... No general public allowed on the fence today. How are they policing that? Have...

Re: Aero Legends 80th Anniversary Battle of Britain Airshow
The rain has held off in the main since just after 10 (hopefully it stays that way!) the site seems very well set up, with boxes for those with normal admission tickets to sit in and three rows of tables for those with the premiere tickets, all socially distanced. The wind feels very strong, but th...

Re: Aero Legends 80th Anniversary Battle of Britain Airshow
No issues at all bringing our own food in, no one has questioned it or said anything at all. A few burger vans etc around at either end of the site.

Re: Aero Legends 80th Anniversary Battle of Britain Airshow
It was quite well followed, there were a handful of people (I'd say 8 groups at the most) that headed over before us, but was generally well observed. Once got through the gate it was virtually empty on site...whether it will be the same at the weekend with a bigger crowd is another matter. But was ...

Re: Aero Legends 80th Anniversary Battle of Britain Airshow
It was fine and smooth, no queues at all to get in. Separate entrances for those who have booked by the main site and those who have booked by Groupon etc which are clearly marked and separate entrances for those with the enclosure tickets too so we'll spread out. Arrived just before 10 and then wal...

I've just moved the thread...strange for it not to be in the Duxford section. Good to hear some news about their plans though for next year.

Re: New show date 18th October Season finale?
At the most recent one you were allowed to walk around the site and the flight line before the show started and there were a couple of stools set up, I didn't wander over there to see what they were. The house was open for a tour as was the Swiss Garden, which was also open for a general wander and ...

Re: Battle of Britain Airshow 2020 - 18th-20th September.
Interesting how it will pan out at the eastern end of the airfield. My take on this is that whilst the tank bank will be open, they only mention that the fence at the eastern end will be pushed out so I assume this will be the area leading up to the tank bank before you reach the land warfare hall ...

Had displays from a Mustang, Dragon Rapide and Harvard. Yak 50 and Cosmic Wind taxied up and down, but couldn't fly due to a big shower passing through. Rest of the day's flying is cancelled.

Re: 15th August - Magnificent Musical Flying Display
It was £120 which is a lot of money for sitting in a damp field, so I ask what did people who actually attended get for that money? The house was open for guided tours and the Swiss Garden was open for people to wander around. They had vintage bus tours going too and were driving some of the collec...

Re: 15th August - Magnificent Musical Flying Display
Had some hops along the runway from the Wren at four foot or so and a Cub doing a weather check, but that's it in terms of the flying display, cloud too low for anything else to fly.
