Outstanding set Stu. So great to see all three there as you say.

I never managed to get to Fairford during the Ex, but had a B-52 and B-1 fly over Brize. Plus could hear the B-1 departure from there the next morning.

Re: MoD says 2017 'Year of the Navy'

Reported in national press that when computer software added in 2004 at time of design Windows XP was fitted and it seems to be the system still in use. So much for a modern Navy,no aircraft and a computer system out of date. US nuclear weapons force still use 1970s-era computer system and 8-inch f...

Re: MoD says 2017 'Year of the Navy'

It's remarkable that the carrier has been to sea for only a few hours and the F-35 is getting berated. Do you honestly think the sea trials for the carrier won't take years? It's the largest ship and one of the most advanced, plus unique, that the Navy has ever operated. Give it time. I said many ye...

Re: General Election 2019?

Russ. What is your alternative? Just interested, do you want May to step down and another Tory to step up as Prime Minister ? What would be their alternatives, but to try to partner with the DUP ? Or do you want May to step down so Corbyn can form a minority government that faces being voted down b...

Re: F35A - grounded

And still they want to replace the A10 with this aircraft! Not anymore. http://www.scout.com/military/warrior/story/1661272-air-force-budget-funds-all-283-a-10-aircraft Cost and affordability will also be a very large part of the equation when it comes to making determinations about an A-10 replace...

Re: F35A - grounded

The Super Hornet has also a similar problem recently.

Also unlike the F-22, the F-35 has a backup oxygen system.

Better safe than sorry though.

Re: General Election 2019?

https://twitter.com/PeterStefanovi2/status/874272031549870081 Spot on. And the irony is that the Tories need the DUP more than the DUP need the Tories. Which gives them a much stronger negotiating hand to push through all sorts of nasties. A dreadful, embarrassing mess. I think May will be lucky to...

Re: General Election 2019?

We shouldn't just look at the DUP's views on religion. Let's see some of their views on other matters: http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/who-are-the-dup_uk_593cfbd9e4b0c5a35ca03d84 Absolutely terrifying. I hear today that - Orange Order asks DUP to put Drumcree march on wishlist in May talks We...

Re: What is the deal with the commentary?

The B-52 miss Dan is referring to is due to the poorly located commentary position, over which Jonathan will have had no control, but don't let that stop you trying to further your own career, Dan I wasn't there but if he failed to announce both the B-52 and B-1 flyby as it sounds, that's a pretty ...

Re: UKAR GE2017 exit poll

Yeah, it was probably a good idea at the time, at least from their point of view. But nobody realised just how cowardly, weak and pathetic she'd be on the campaign trail. Now she's been completely found out. In light of this, I think little or no people have any confidence in her ability to negotiat...

Re: UKAR GE2017 exit poll

She shouldn't resign, that's exactly the oppositions want her to do. She has no credibility with the British public and it's questionable how much loyalty she now has within her own party. I can see them stabbing her in the back in the not too distant future. As toom317 says, the EU leaders must be...

So the Tories are rather pathetically and desperately going to to coalition with the DUP. You couldn't make it up - https://www.opendemocracy.net/uk/adam-ramsay/so-who-are-dup The first of these is that they have strong historical links with Loyalist paramilitary groups. Specifically, the terrorist ...

May has to go. She called this needless election for purely political reasons and should resign. If you're a Labour supporter you'd probably wish her to stay as she's more of an asset for your party. Inept, hapless, clueless, weak, wobbly - I'm sure there are other words you can conjure up. She is ...

Absolutely hilarious own-goal from May. She has no credibility, ran a cowardly, arrogant and complacent campaign, with a vicious manifesto. Massive credit to Labour and particularly Corbyn, who against all odds, has worked wonders against both the repugnant right-wing media and the Tories. Delighted...
