Re: Northolt Night Photoshoot XVIII 100th Anniversary

Good to meet you today Sam!

Thanks to Phil, Lee and all concerned for tonight's event. Yet another great selection of a/c, and relief for Phil with the Tracker special and Navy Sea King HU5. The Tracker running for so long was very much appreciated too.

Server downtime

You may notice the UKAR sites are unavailable for occasional short periods this evening while I carry out some maintenance. Apologies for the disruption.

Re: Mildenhall to close

... It's closing will be an unfillable (word?!) void in the (dare I say) "enthusiasts" world. A trip to Mildenhall has meant more than just some boring side ons; the history, the environment, the variety, the not knowing what might show up, the very names of "the mound", "P...

What a great event. Apache clearly the star, but the rest fantastic too, all enhanced by the Diwali fireworks. Thanks as usual to Phil, Lee and the team

Nice one Phil, I shall book a day's holiday on Monday. Work are threatening to send me to China for two weeks sometime in September or October, so I hope the dates don't clash and I'll be back in time.

Fabulous set Phil! I particularly like the Thomson 757 landing shot. The new lens is obviously working well as they are all lovely and sharp.

Lovely stuff. The Gulfstream III is the best looking Gulfstream as far as I'm concerned, and obviously pretty rare these days. Sounds better than the newer versions too!

Good shot. This is the first retrojet with a livery I remember being in service - I must be getting old.

I think it would have been preferable for you just to alert us by PM if you had concerns, rather than "scaring the forum".

Just to be clear to everybody, this site is categorically not affected by the heartbleed security vulnerability.

I'm afraid I've had a little accident of a technical nature which has resulted in the forums being reset to how they were at 2am this morning (Thursday 10 April 2014) :( I'm really sorry to all of you that have lost posts, feel free to call me a muppet.

Back home after a blast round the North Circular and once again main thanks to Phil, Lee and the team for a great evening. We did feel a bit sorry for Phil when we got there due to the cancellations, but the evening was a great success, with the CN235 and it's long ground run before departing especi...

A few more shots from Norwich. Yes I know some people get tired of the place but its a hobby site and this is what we do round here. Don't worry about that. Most of us appreciate the posts and you've used some great angles above. Norwich will always a be a bit special for me anyway, as it was the s...

Will it be even busier tomorrow with the big race (assuming the wx is ok)?
