Re: Duxford Summer Airshow - 24-25 July

Well the old weather tale for UK airshows, 2 weeks of perfect flying weather, then boom it's all over for an actual airshow. Typical. Weather aside it is still pretty thin, I see someone mentioned Chinook- surely we can write that off as after this show the UK seasons pretty much done isn't it and i...

That really is some fly in! All great but the 'raider is interesting - that's the ex French AF 20Esc silver machine.

Don't think these have been on here yet. The schemes aren't always the easiest on the eye but they mostly have meaningful, historic roots..

Re: RAF Puma 50th Anniversary Flypast 7/7/21

Also rumours elsewhere that it will be 12, which will be more than half the active fleet! Whatever the final number is, it will be amazing to see and an outstanding effort by ground and flight crews if we get anywhere near to double digits. There has been no sign so far of practice formation flying...

Re: Military Air Show 4th July 2021

Unbelievably, Old Warden missed some humongous showers yesterday and the conditions were largely pleasant. Despite some weather related scrubs still a very decent display, the sight and sound of a SeaKing in the shape of the HC4 was very welcome as were the delightful RAF trainer quartet and Gladiat...

Chinook still doesn’t have PDA, nor have the team announced any display dates yet.

Are The Wildcats still a thing?
Don't know why I called them Wildcats!

Pretty rubbish for the Chinook, they've been working up since April....

So some matt black left over from painting the Hurricane? Why have they de-9Sqn'd the black one? Do they think black looks attractive?!!
We really suck at special schemes.

However, is there any particular reason why the anniversary scheme couldn't have been the demo 'copter?
Mmmm… That would have involved applying some commons sense. I like it too.
From what I read, this will be the demo cab. If there are any shows to see it is a different question..

Out of the myriad of fabulous Hurricane schemes, we've got this for the next few years... Tiny sqn codes and roundel gives a modern day anonymity to it. Not a fan..

Hopefully K-B! Nice Polish greys scheme, new Swiss tail(s) and the home team have a 50th anniversary special too.

On the showing so far it's certainly NOT an event to die for! :mask:  OK not to die for but Tiger meets are the only regular chance these days for us to see and shoot 30-50 modern combat types, some of which aren't just wall to wall grey.. I'dve been there like a shot, especially after th...

Anyone else had an email about spotter days next month? I really thought they'd canned the Beja bash but obviously not! Sorry for another thread resurrection but it's with a devastatingly heavy heart that I have to report we lost our best pal little Misty last week.
