Re: Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow 2021 - September 18th & 19th

Arghh - I was really hoping to see MH415. Same. Quite sad that so much stuff is shipping out to Goodwood- obviously where the money is... This is the only BoB show for 2 years, having missed out on the "big one" last year- it should be rammed full of stuff, and where are the RAF?! Why no Reds, Typh...

Re: Melun-Villaroche 2021

Well a little belated response, apologies. This is a great show, can't be denied, a little down on numbers as to be expected really; vintage jets being notable by their absence with only the F-86 present, which was expertly flown by Akary . Otherwise, beautiful weather, some superb flying and a good...

Re: International Sanicole Airshow, Belgium (10-12 September 2021)

KB was excellent yesterday, a great arrivals day, very busy . Italian,German , Portuguese, Belgian tigers, desert Rafale, 2 marine 10yr fin Rafale, spec Belgian Herc, nice E-2 and my first Austrian Tiff's I think. The evening show was spectacular opened by a Luxembourg marked A400. PSuisse were supe...

Re: Shuttleworth Vintage Weekend 4-5th September

It was another great day out, for various reasons for me. The lack of cars in the "main" area really opened the place up and the increased trade stands only served to help the general airshow feel- felt very , well, normal. Some lovely flying as ever, my only disappointment was the other SE5 going t...

Re: East Kirkby Airshow - Saturday 7th August 2021

Thank you for your feedback, we're glad you enjoyed your visit. It was so good to just be able to put the show on! By way of 'queues that were seemingly pointless', out of interest where was this please? Sorry for the late reply on this. Absolutely agree, it was great to be there at a full on show!...

Re: East Kirkby Airshow - Saturday 7th August 2021

First visit for me and after the frustrations of a rubbish journey, (seemingly) pointless queues, wx cancellations and wx forecast that was pretty wrong overall a decent day out was had. The sight and sound of a living breathing Mossie, especially one with guns and radar as opposed to the very clean...

Re: Interesting Internet

Such a boring jet just got even more boring: https://www.airforcemag.com/amc-blocks-tail-flashes-for-kc-46-fleet/ For decades, the Air Force gray-tailed aircraft have displayed their home base and heritage with a small graphic on the plane’s tail, but that tradition will come to an end for much of ...

Re: Duxford Summer Airshow - 24-25 July

Well the old weather tale for UK airshows, 2 weeks of perfect flying weather, then boom it's all over for an actual airshow. Typical. Weather aside it is still pretty thin, I see someone mentioned Chinook- surely we can write that off as after this show the UK seasons pretty much done isn't it and i...

Don't think these have been on here yet. The schemes aren't always the easiest on the eye but they mostly have meaningful, historic roots..

Re: RAF Puma 50th Anniversary Flypast 7/7/21

Also rumours elsewhere that it will be 12, which will be more than half the active fleet! Whatever the final number is, it will be amazing to see and an outstanding effort by ground and flight crews if we get anywhere near to double digits. There has been no sign so far of practice formation flying...

Re: Military Air Show 4th July 2021

Unbelievably, Old Warden missed some humongous showers yesterday and the conditions were largely pleasant. Despite some weather related scrubs still a very decent display, the sight and sound of a SeaKing in the shape of the HC4 was very welcome as were the delightful RAF trainer quartet and Gladiat...

Chinook still doesn’t have PDA, nor have the team announced any display dates yet.

Are The Wildcats still a thing?
Don't know why I called them Wildcats!

Pretty rubbish for the Chinook, they've been working up since April....

However, is there any particular reason why the anniversary scheme couldn't have been the demo 'copter?
Mmmm… That would have involved applying some commons sense. I like it too.
From what I read, this will be the demo cab. If there are any shows to see it is a different question..

Out of the myriad of fabulous Hurricane schemes, we've got this for the next few years... Tiny sqn codes and roundel gives a modern day anonymity to it. Not a fan..
