Re: The Ashes (Updated) - Trent Bridge 2015

Great photos! The 'Howzat' image is brilliant - would look good hanging on the wall in the pavilion at Trent Bridge

From Airbourne's Twitter:

'Only flying Bristol Blenheim bomber in the world, Belgian NH90 helicopter & the Norwegian MiG-15 jet announced to join incredible line-up!'

Excellent additions! :yahoo:

Re: Shoreham 2015

Very disappointing that the RAF appear to be sending no fast jet display to Shoreham, especially considering the tireless work the show undertakes in support of the RAFA. Something like a Typhoon makes a big difference to a show of Shoreham's size.

RIP Peter Eager

Very sad news. Shoreham was my local show and what first got me in to aviation. A big part of the show will now be missing.

RIP Mr. Eager, and blue skies.

Warbird over Worthing?

Just saw from a distance a warbird absolutely tanking it from West to East over Worthing, and then about 10 minutes later, back in the other direction. Couldn't tell what it was but it wasn't the usual GA from Shoreham!

Re: RAFA Shoreham Airshow 2012

That downgrading of the Tornados really leaves the show wanting for any decent jet noise, and star items. Of course, the Vulcan will steal the show but the lineups a bit flat. I'm sure though, that I will still enjoy everything I see, especially the WW2 set piece, and I understand the modern economi...

Well done to the organisers!

Re: Avoid blue car park

Don't know what all the fuss on this thread was about! Drove in to Blue Car Park on Sunday at 8am, directed by an ample number of stewards across pretty firm ground to park on a field which was in relatively good condition. Could see some areas of cut up grass, but these were being deliberately avoi...

Re: When is the B2 landing ?

This B-2 thing is ridiculous. Why is it so dangerous for people to know when its arriving? As Nigel said, its going to sit on the deck for 4 days anyway, and if they're worried about it being spied in the air, then what about when it leaves?! Every single person is going to know when its taken off, ...

Flightline says that the F-15s are due in at 1026 this morning, so perhaps the B-2 will be in tow?

Re: Weather

As the confidence in the forecast increases, it appears that both days are going to be showery, rather than a complete washout the whole time! I think the earlier forecasts were merely forecasting that there would be rain, but we didn't know how much. Now, it looks like we will have two days of show...

Re: RIAT 2012 Participants

Don't understand these people who read so much into the 'special' aicraft mention. RIAT's main objective is to sell tickets to raise money for charity, and so they are going to big everything up as an advertiser would. I am confident the addition will be a 'good' one, but I am sceptical as to whethe...

Fast Jets over Nottingham

Just seen 4 jets heading westwards over Nottingham. Couldn't tell what they were, my intial thought was F-15s but I couldn't see them that well. Anyone know what they were?
