Be nice one day to get 'Doc' as its been many a year since weve had an American 4 engine propeller driven bomber.
B-17 was there in 2022.

Nice shots, the Vulcan looks well cared for. Looks like its been kept in a box, along with the crew.

Not sure a big belly Lightning should be wearing 56sqn checkerboard tail markings. I believe the flamboyance ended on their F3s.

Yes, but the three air arms above usually bring the most static aircraft.
Appreciating there may be more this year, Canada have brought one last year and two the year before that. Don't think so.

Re: RIAT 2024 - discuss most things thread

Very pleased with the Jordanian vipers - although not sure why anyone would prefer a grey Hercules over a lovely sandy camo one? Because I am looking every year since my first (R)IAT in 1995 at the same airframes (344, 345, 346, 347) so yes, I would be very happy with a new Jordanian AF Hercules. E...

Anyone who blanketly disparages heli displays obviously never saw the Czech Hind team in the '90s!
Or the Grasshoppers................🦗......OK we'll stick to the Czech Hind Team.

Hungarian flying in the release but static on the aircraft page. C'mon Cosford get it sorted!!!!! Does it? ;-) That's more like it Andy. I take it you're not responsible for the lighting display at Cosford as well? :star_struck: Just to be even more pedant though, regarding the Jordanian fast jets,...

Is there any plans for Saab, as sponsors, to display the JAS-39E again to add to this year's Gripen 36th anniversary line up I wonder?

Anybody up for a commemorative Brazilian?

Will look good on arrivals day. Now lets hope Boeing confirm the F-15QA display.

That's a shame, it was always a long shot without support types available, but it would have been nice to see a fifth nation operating them at the Tattoo.

I think its in reference to it being someone either flashing a torch on and off or having a selection of different sized multi-coloured bulbs like you would find in B&Q, as opposed to the latest state of the art flat heap based at Marham.

Or preferably they could bring something altogether better like [...] T-41 [...] Agreed, the Kaan is incredibly ugly and really just looks like a bad F-22 ripoff, I'd prefer the named aircraft in this list over the Kaan anyday! Re: RIAT 2024 wishlist.

A Bulgarian SU-25 would be the best addition to RIAT since perhaps the Flanker returning to the flying after an absence of 18 years in 2017. When was the last time one was seen at Fairford? The Czech ones in 1994 perhaps? The Czechs are the only ones to ever bring Frogfoots to RIAT events, with one...

I was thinking about USAF statics earlier about stuff I would love to see (rather than the likely stuff): -kc-10 as it’s due for retirement in September -Kc-46 park next to its predecessor -C-5 everyone wants to see -B-1/B-52 -T-38 Talon - - I'm guessing you're expecting the T-38 to arrive in the b...

but also Pakistan and India sharing an airshow can't be exactly common!
Happened at Fairford in 2008, OK the show never went ahead, but a Pakistan Navy P-3 and the Indian Sarangs were both present.
