Re: RIAT 2024 wishlist.

Lovely scheme on the Spanish ones.

They sound good as well, although no looping or rolling there like you get in the French display, maybe as it was getting dark?

They've all got A400s now, they could sling one in the back and rebuild it for the display.

Re: RIAT 2024 - discuss most things thread

They'll have to chuck one in the back of an A400 that's coming over for the show then!

Did wonder, as the French ones never seem to get over here either. Let's hope for their sake Corsica never has an uprising!

Well at least he's not going for rocket power I guess, light touch paper and retreat. And the glider flies well in Germany.

I don't know Prof, the most interesting movement of the day, and it catches you off guard? Tut tut.

Trouble is with Galaxies they are so small and quiet when moving around an airfield, almost stealth like, easily done.

I just think it's quite cool that the first US ace since Vietnam was flying a Harrier, rather than one of these new fangled F-15s or some other bolshy fast pointy thing.
But Harriers are fast, and nowadays they are also pointy?

Amazing participation from Denmark! Seriously? two F-16s and a Challenger. Don't get me wrong. Great they're coming but a seriously overstated description of "amazing". I get where you're coming from, but can't I have my own opinion? Which you made without anyone stopping you or forcing i...

My take on a blustery and wind chill cold evening which made hand holding a bit of a challenge.
I thought you were there to take photos of the aircraft! :kissing:

Anyway most of those look Ok to me, like the PC21 pair and the Xingu.

I hope it is the jet with the special tail of the flag. In my opinion it looks a lot better/smarter than last years jet. Burn the witch! :nerd: :see_no_evil: I'm guessing you are talking about E-194, which displayed at RIAT in 2011 and has been kicking around since 2010. Not sure of its current sta...

A solid F-16 display, can't complain.

Nothing coming from Japan this year (Goodbye to the hope of the Zero). Oh well.
At least there won't be any F-2s to contaminate the F-16 line.

Re: RIAT 2024 - discuss most things thread

The German NH90 display team has put out a post on their Instagram which has them listed as attending RIAT this year. Edit... That has since been deleted! Its a very good demo, but we do need the Tiger before they are consigned to the bin. (apologies wishlisting but more in reference to the NH90)

lovely selection Kev, but I'm baffled by the first Phantom image at the moment?

Is that from the west end on its second departure? I didn't think it had got that high off the ground on its initial go. Very nice whatever. Dannebrog 16 is cracking.
