Re: Reds to undertake US/Canada Tour
Aside from padding out seaside guff, will they really be THAT missed? Yes. How so, given that there are very few interesting shows that would book them at that time of year? Why does it have to be a show that books them?? They are THE main attraction at the annual Cromer Carnival in North Norfolk i...

Re: Portsmouth tomorrow
For those interested, an NH-90 crashed onto the flight deck this morning, injuring four sailors and destroying the helicopter. I've had a quick search and can find nothing about this, certainly no information on local news websites such as Portsmouth news https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news or any of...

Re: Incident at Florennes.
If any of you know the layout of the airfield and its hangars/flightlines, then you will know that this has not been caused by "servicing an aircraft with a live gun in a hangar" as no aircarft are parked in front of the hangars. Therefore, how could FA-128 have been destroyed on the fligh...

Re: Unfamiliar Typhoon roundel.
Roundel? You're talking about the squadron markings. That was explained in the post above - the bottom half of the decal is reflecting the sunlight. Apologies. I, and many others who I have spoken to refer to the bands on either side of the RAF roundel as the Squadron roundel. And as for the previo...

All he wants to do is disarm our nuclear capability, its his one and only goal. That is certainly one of his goals' he's made no bones about that. Not so sure that it's his only one though. Think that he wouldn't mind seeing Israel taken down a peg or two. Is there anyone here who would seriously l...

Re: RIAT 2019 wish list
This wish list seems centred on individual aircraft requests, but what about the flying display content? I would like to see more variety, set scenes, story telling with pyotechnics, a water-bomber demo, mock attack with parachutists etc. Far too many boring single fast jets blatting up and down be...

Re: RAF roundel query
A roundel is supposed to identify the operating nation of an aircraft, from a distance. Combat, trainer, transport or other role is irrelevant. The current two-tone grey on the Dave goes against international conventions as has blurred the lines somewhat as you can not distinguish certain nations an...

What's the answer to the obvious toilet question too? Nappies, pee bottle or one of those stadium buddies type thing has been mentioned Can’t exactly ‘lob’ the full pee-bottle out the window at 35,000ft, or however high they fly, can they? Out of interest, is the 717 the safest US-built jet airliner ever?
And if you care to do any research you will find that Boeing used 717 as the airframe model number for all C-135 production

Re: 5th Gen Fighter deployment end of the Summer
Is it just me who doesn’t understand why everyone thinks F-22s and F-35s are boring? The thrust vectoring (and all around beauty) of the F-22 and the most powerful engine ever put into operational service on a fighter powering the F-35? Doesn’t seem that boring to me. I'm struggling to see where in...

Anyone got an idea of roughly when as "late summer" is pretty ambiguous. Not sure if I should abandon my plans to see the F-16s and hold out for these instead - no great fan of either type, but at least they're something new/different. Go and see the F-16s, its going to be a very boring h...
