Re: 48 Hour Photo Comp - the office

Great entries chaps, really enjoyed these. The winner is Peter's picture of me.......!!! Nope, in all seriousness, I love Spiny Norman's comet shot, well done. The design of the seats, the instrumentation, you can just feel the atmosphere through the image. Shout out to Peter's KC135 stick though, g...

48 Hour Photo Comp - the office

Cockpits. And the same to you! This is a subject that I actually haven't got that many images of so let's see your best 'office' shots - photos must be from inside or looking in to a cockpit as per the examples below, external closeup shots will be disqualified. God I miss Jaguars . . . . . https://...

Ahhh cheers! I'll have a ponder and bung one up swiftly. That was my first A400 low level, incidentally. I heard it whine through the valleys a very, very long time before it eventually appeared!

Only just found out today that Jim Radford passed away at the start of the month. He performed a very moving song that he wrote himself as part of the D-Day 70 celebrations.

Re: 'An' unusual visitor to BHX this week

Thanks. I'd not been to that particular spot before so I was pleased with how elevated you are above the runway. There are some quite spectacular videos on Youtube from the 'Flugsnug' channel I think (?), there are some landings in bad weather with a crosswind adding to the mix, landings accenuated ...

'An' unusual visitor to BHX this week

I took a rash decision to dash over to Birmingham Airport on Wednesday afternoon as an An-74 was due to arrive at 2pm. It eventually arrived shortly after 3pm to my delight as it meant I didn't have to rush to get there so much! I was really glad I went, it was my first spotting trip of the year!! A...

Re: Aviation- On This Day

I really should get round to editing the rest of the images from this day! Was it really 6 years ago that the Canadian Lancaster came over here?? There was a real air of anticipation that day in The Peak District with a fair few people dotted around the hills surrounding Ladybower. We managed to get...

Back to 10th August 2012 and my first 'proper' Eagles in the loop after 10 years! Wow, so many great entries! Interesting to see how you've all interpreted the theme. I must give a few shoutouts to Shaun and his superb Rafale shot; Aaron's Flanker; Tuckat's Hawk; and Peter's GR4 from Bluebell - ahh happy memories of that climb, eh?! 48 hour comp: Blue

We had some good entries when I chose this for our UKAR staff competiton a while back so I'd like to see your shots on the theme of 'blue'. Bonus points for thinking outside the box, it's not always about the colour!
