Re: FRIAT 2024
I cannot fathom why it makes a difference to security to have the FRIAT fast track lane. As mentioned above, all it does is bypass the public queue and you go through the same security. If we lose the fast track access there's no way I can continue to justify attending the show through FRIAT & I...

Apologies if I've missed it, but does anyone know what "went wrong" with the Turkish Stars last year?

Only posted six days ago about preparing for the 2024 season, and four days ago about the first flight of the year.
I'd be really gutted if it ended this way! Here's fingers crossed they can get one more season in.

Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow, September 2023
Good afternoon, all. Here's a few passable efforts from the Battle of Britain show at Duxford last September. I always struggle at Duxford and the weather didn't do a lot to improve things, but there was still some fantastic flying to be seen. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53508458355_8713f235...

Re: RIAT 2024 - discuss most things thread
I know camping isn't for everyone but that certainly makes it hugely affordable over hotels. I don't get the obsession with that Kempsford one (not even in Kempsford but in Dunfield village) and it's prices, all to be crammed up against someone else's tent just to be by the fence, yet spend the who...

Thank you all for the very kind comments.
I'd love to see the French C135FR back again, if there's time. The rehearsal in a rare moment of sunlight was quite fantastic. I got thoroughly soaked waiting for it on Friday but I'm still pleased that I caught it.

A week in the Cotswold Water Park - CVIX's RIAT 2023 (very pic heavy)
Good afternoon all! Well, it's been quite a slog, but I've finally finished trawling through my pics from RIAT this year. For me, this RIAT was one that had the potential to be an absolute classic. Unfortunately, cancellations and other unavoidable cicumstances conspired to dampen, literally and fig...

Not to interfere, but perhaps this could this can't be expanded to include Mildenhall based assets at other locations? Might get a few more entries in that way Just a thought, some lovely pics so far.

Also I would add that if you are worried about the back drop of your pictures, FRIAT isn't necessarily the best choice anymore (assuming the construction equipment is still there by show time next year).

Re: RIAT 2024 - discuss most things thread
Selling out in October is wild. This constant push to get people to commit earlier and earlier can only have a negative impact on people that can't afford to have funds tied up in events that aren't happening for a year or so. I feel for those that will miss out or face the uncertainty of buying tic...

Re: FRIAT 2024
Extending the payment deadline does make sense, although holding seats until January will make it more difficult for those that might want to switch seats. I think the deadline for changing seats without paying an admin charge of £25 needs to be extended from 16th October (in 5 days time). Despite ...

I heard a whisper that it was coming to Cornwall but I'm not sure what kind of legitimacy that rumour has. It looks like it has left Southampton and gone into Goodwood this morning.
