Re: Frecce Tricolori 60th Anniversary

Absolutely brilliant set. The Italians really know how to put a show together! I envy this one for sure. Thanks for posting!

Nice catch!

It's a shame that, IMO, the lettering and oversize serial really spoil what would otherwise be quite a nice scheme.

I'll be lamenting the fact that I'm not there this weekend, but hoping for a great show for all those attending. It looks like a truly brilliant line up & I look forward to watching footage of it afterwards.

The airshow looks brilliant but sadly we've now taken the decision to cancel the trip. Here's hoping travel is back to normal next year!

It's a little disappointing but I'll take it. When it comes to booking for 2023 I'll re-evaluate, make my choice and most likely go for it as I always do.

Re: Duxford Summer Airshow - 24-25 July

Why do you think they're going to make a loss? Surely they wouldn't run if that was the case? They're not obligated to run an airshow and self interest dictates that they must make money to operate, so wouldn't run a show unless they were going to break even at least. Anyway, I've not attended a Dux...

Would love to have got to this one, but I only found out today that I'd be able to take it off work. Alas, too late. Looks to be a great show.

Re: International Sanicole Airshow, Belgium (10-12 September 2021)

The line up for the show is cracking. Are any other UK members still hoping to travel? I'm trying to get my head around the requirements and I'm roughly at the following: For two people, assuming both France and Belgium are on the green list & that we're both fully vaccinated we'd still need negativ...

Probably off topic but does anyone else feel that the tone of the marketing is far better at the moment? Here's hoping it carries over to a year where the show will actually take place.

Re: International Sanicole Airshow, Belgium (10-12 September 2021)

It is a very large platform with some height difference (not nearly as high as a grandstand though) with pre-arranged chairs according to current plans. Stewards will assign you a seat and then ensure proper distancing to the next group. Thanks Chrisse - that sounds good. Fingers crossed it won't b...

I'll be looking to buy a ticket for Friday and Sunday when they go on sale, although I'm still not entirely sure how the whole thing works!! Are we assigned to boxes on stages or is it some sort of grandstand seating??

Second, the worry about data sharing. I'm assuming those voicing objections have never used Google, e-mail, Amazon etc, don't have a driving licence, passport and credit card and still live in the age of barter - get real! for the most part, my concerns about vaccine passports are less to do with d...

What's the difference between vaccine passports/immunity certificates domestically or internationally? the difference is a country is allowed to set conditions for entry for other nations. that's called border control. liberal democracies do not require their public to present papers to go about th...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

Mypoints; first those of you arguing against some sort of immunity certification seem to be doing it from a point that we haven't spent the last 12 months in a pandemic lockdown (or maybe you're in the younger element which hasn't bothered to follow the rules anyway) and don't realise that this is ...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

The problem is we have a government that is in paralysis. There were 10 reported deaths today within 28 days of a positive test. I think the rolling weekly average is 35. Johnson is weak and has over promised time and again, and is now too scared to deviate from Whitty and Vallance. Following the d...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

I would urge anyone from an older generation to try and see it from the perspective of a younger person. Just because you have had the vaccine and you won't be affected, it doesn't mean the proposals are ethically right. I would counter that with anyone from the younger generation should respect th...

I cannot feel anything other than anger over the proposed vaccine passports. Yet again, this government is choosing to take care of their own demographic and has absolutely no interest in looking after the younger people of this country who have sacrificed their livelihoods, their income, their ment...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

I've always been staunchly pro EU (and would say I still am) but it certainly feels like a CYA operation on the part of certain countries in reaction to their own vaccine rollout missteps. I find it hard to believe that there's no politics involved despite the fact that, as Tommy has said, it's not ...
