Any more details? I've been looking for a decent 1/72 hangar kit for years. That one looks ideal.

Compressor advice

In an attempt to get back into modelling, I have been digging out some of my modelling gear. In a house move a couple of years ago, my compressor ended up upside down in a box and some (a lot) of the oil leaked out. What grade of oil should I use to replace this? I don't have a manual and searching ...

Just because you are taking a break from modelling (never say never), it doesn't mean you have to completely divorce yourself from the forum. Although it's been a while since I stuck any bits of plastic together, I still visit the forum for my modelling fix. I might even get back to modelling one da...

Re: Low Level Tornado near Shoreham

The narrow strip of unpopulated land between Worthing and Littlehampton (Goring beach area) was known as the Littlehampton low-level transit area (LLLTA).This was very popular with fast jets and Hercs in the past as one of the only places to coast out between Brighton and Southampton. On it's initi...

Callsign 'Marham 03'. I was landing at Shoreham when it called up. After I touched down the tower asked if they would oblige with a low pass over the airport. I was held on the runway to give them a clear run. Best view in the house!

Re: Help. 1/72 Nitesun and FLIR/Heli-telly needed.

Although my modelling is currently on hold due to a house move, I do occasionally have a look in here. I started this thread when I was planning to do an NI-spec Gazelle. I still haven't got around to finding the correct pods so I would be very interested in a couple of resin heli-telly pods in 1/72...

Merry Christmas

Hi everybody. As some of you will be aware I have been absent from the modelling forum for a few months. This was due to working away from home, and on the short visits I had back home modelling, unfortunately, had to take a back seat. Now I am back home and working within commuting distance I shoul...

Re: Help. 1/72 Nitesun and FLIR/Heli-telly needed.

I've managed to source a Nite-sun which did, indeed, come from the Matchbox Chinook HC.1 kit. I can't vouch for earlier Airfix Chinooks having Nite-sun, as the only ones I've seen are the later Italeri re-boxing. I've also got an Italeri MH-47 kit which I acquired second hand - unfortunately it does...

Re: I'm back! 1/72 hobby Boss Lynx HAS.3

First update, I had almost forgotten the simple pleasure of painting small pieces of plastic and sticking them together. I was in a bit of a hurry to get some progress on this, so I decided to forego using the airbrush and reverted to a hairy stick for the the interior. The airbrush wiull make a ret...

Hell F_M what were you doing? You've come back and can't even get the GB hosts right! Oops! I got my hosts and builders mixed up. I meant to talk about "ianf's Airfix build for Deacon's FAA GB", but i edited the text and didn't read it again. Sorry! I think I may have mentioned the Lynx b...

I'll also be using an Eastern Express kit when it comes time to build my Snipe for 78 Sqn, so I'll be watching this one with interest (particularly the rigging!).

1/72 hobby Boss Lynx HAS.3 - updated 06/08/11

Unfortunately, I've had to take a break from modelling over the past couple of months as some work came up which meant me being away from home for a while. I was even tempted to change my username to "flying_rozzer". Being away meant that I missed a couple of GBs I had planned on entering,...
