Condorde retirement Heathrow 24th October 2003
First up I'm the first to admit that the following pictures won't win any awards - they're flatbed scans of my rather poor originals however, I thought they might be of interest for historical value if nothing else. I was lucky enough to win a seat on the BAA grandstand specially erected for the eve...

Point Mugu Missile park
I stopped off at the Point Mugu missile park while on holiday in September primarily to see the Tomcat, but found the missile collection quite interesting too. It's free and right by the Pacific Coast Highway and is well worth a visit. https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5702/23395836290_5051763a49_o.jpg...

Travis AFB Heritage Centre
I visited the Travis AFB Heritage Centre this summer. It's located in the middle of the base so if you want to visit (and you're not a US citizen) you need to contact the centre a few weeks in advance and provide your passport details for security checking. It definitely worth a stop if your nearby ...

"Golden Bear" is was the first operational C141 Starlifter and now sits proudly displayed on Travis AFB in California. I had the opportunity to take these pictures during a visit this summer. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/604/23248403790_6186f7cb0f_o.jpg Golden-Bear-1 by Paul Dewar , on F...

Re: Seaplanes and Flying Boats in British Columbia
The Coulson Services facility used to be open for tours, however it closed recently. You can drive up to their gate on the Lake side (signposted on the road) and see the second Mars behind their hanger as it is prepared for museum display in Florida, however you can only get a glimse through the tre...

Re: Seaplanes and Flying Boats in British Columbia
The Tofino pictures were taken from the jetty nearby. We were lucky enough to have a B&B right next door to their mooring also so I could also sit in our room watching the comings and goings - A very nice way to while away some time!

Re: Final days at RAE Bedford - Aircraft departures
Not sure what happened to all the air frames, but the base is now home to the Jonathan Palmer racing experience. There is still a runway their, though only approximately 1,000 ft of the original 10,000 ft runway is still in use.

A rather Damp Silverstone F1 Practice Session
It was all a bit grim at Silverstone today for the F1 practice with a cold wind and driving rain for both sessions. Typically the best weather was reserved for GP3 practice which was sunny and the track dry enough for slicks. All these shots were from FP2 which was preceded by a brief monsoon, follo...
