Re: RIAT 2024 - discuss most things thread
Hi can anyone help please. I would like to take my disabled brother to RIAT next year, he can walk a 20 -30 yards but will need his buggy to get around on. I see the disabled enclosure is in the Blue area but it says the Blue carpark is not suitable for the disabled. Can anyone tell me where the dis...

Thank you all for the condolences.
My loss has been made much easier to bear knowing how well David was thought of by both his peers and the public. He has left great void in my life.

My understanding is that Vulcan custodians over the years have always helped each other out and that includes the Trust both benefiting and being a benefactor.
As for whether vulcan spares would benefit a Victor I have no idea.

Re: Where has XH558 thread gone?
I wonder how Mr Walton feels now, his gifted parts being pawned to provide a few pointless people a wage each month. Why do you persist in calling them Mr Waltons parts or say he gifted them to the Trust? He didn't, he sold them along with 558. It has been explained on here more than once. There we...

Re: Where has XH558 thread gone?
Where does this opinion that the VTTS have 'raised millions' come from. Yes over the years they have, but that was spent year on year on running cost to keep 558 in the air. I can't see they have raised millions over the last 3 yrs or so, or have I missed something? They may have managed tens of tho...

Re: Saturday Stampede to enter RIAT via the Blue Route
I experienced the same a few years ago at the red entrance. We had to park in the field the other side of the road because we arrived at 6.40. The red car park opened at 7.00. We queued waiting for the gates to open but they held us back while those who arrived after 7.00 headed straight to the fron...

Re: Goodbye from the Team
Thanks to yourself, Touchdown, PS and the rest of the team for all the highlights. Congratulations on the privileged of being the first air show to host 558 on her first public display in 2008 and the Black Eagles in 2012. Waddington will be greatly missed by many. Good luck with whatever you do in ...

Re: Battle of Britain Flypast - missed opportunity?
On a similar note, did anyone else notice the terrible job the BBC News did of covering the flypast? Their camera work was terrible (they couldn't even find the aircraft) and their presenter and guest managed to talk over most of it and drown out all the noise. If they had managed to identify the a...

Re: Battle of Britain Flypast - missed opportunity?
I'm sure that in an ideal world this is something that those arranging it would be keen to do but perhaps not particularly viable. Wouldn't there be an issue with foreign military aircraft flying over central London anyway? On a similar note, did anyone else notice the terrible job the BBC News did...

655 is certainly well looked after and I have never seen a bad photo of her yet. Certainly is photogenic. Shame you didn't make Wellsbourne for their open day on the 21st it was well worth it with another appearance by 558.

Good to see you Lee. Isn't she photogenic, the first year I didn't get any photos far to many people to get anywhere near the fence!
