Re: Presidential Election 2020

Caught a bit of the white house meeting on TV, Jesus, have you ever seen such a coma inducing interview. While Joe was going off on the GFA, Boris was trying to bluster his way into the conversation, and failing miserably, which I see on the news this morning, has been conveniently cut just before h...

According to a post on Pprune, the Navy Hawks are to go on 30 Sept with the RAF's, (except the Red Arrows), on 31st March 2022.

Prestwick 19/20 Sept

A "few" pics from Prestwick over the 2 days. I went over to get the Nigerian A29's, but they were a no show. Some military action on the Monday with the JMC on, and a few C17's in. Nice to get some Hawks with their retirement imminent. https://i.postimg.cc/FRtqbMrL/Pres-01.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/4...

When the RAF only have ten Texans, and 28 Hawk T.2s a 9-ship is a luxury that will become increasingly difficult to justify.
With so few aircraft/pilots in the RAF nowadays, can the RAF justify having 9 pilots, who will probably come from the Typhoon/F35 fleet, tied up with display flying?

Crucial point. But I daresay no one will consider asking Javid how that statement and the voter ID proposals mesh.
Can't get on an internal UK flight without photo ID. Are they scrapping that as well?

Dowding Memorial, Moffat 5 Sept

That time of year again, Battle of Britain weekend, and the flypast over the memorial to ACM Hugh Dowding at Moffat. This year Spitfire 19, PM631, did the honours. 3 flypasts over the memorial, but the pics taken from up a hill to the West of the town, with big crops. https://i.postimg.cc/HxLDj5Wv/Z...

Anyone who supported Brexit got a prominent position in the Cabinet regardless of their strengths or weaknes...

Farnboro John, I was in the Falklands back end of 82 into 83, and there were loads of those Mercedes jeeps on the go at the time. Certainly the Commander British Forces FI had one, as did a few other senior ranks. I think it was only the Army that was using them, I don't recall any being used by the...

Bearing in mind these airframes would have had no paperwork with them how did they fly them legally? Because in war you work with what you've got, and if utilising captured enemy aircraft helps with the task, then so be it. The guys who fly and maintain our stuff aren't stupid, and would be more th...
